From what I read, as usual, Florida is that Uncle we never talk about. Some are ignoring the stay on DST bill that passed, and some are following it. All I see is mass confusion and people throwing everything out of synchronization. Georgia will be on Standard Time, western Florida (the panhandle) is in the central time zone. And if you are going to change why not change it to actual standard time that the world world recognizes. Almost everyone uses Standard Time. There is no need for DST at anytime. No matter where you set your clock there will never be any gain of actual daylight hours. It will just fall an hour different.
The whole idea of daylight savings is ridiculous anyway. The only reason why the public wants it now is because it extends the daylight later at night to presumably have more outside activity, but, everyone is sitting inside playing with their electronic devices, getting that glowing, handsome tan via LED lighting. Just think Drive In movies could be a thing again and the movie would be able to start an hour earlier. Then we might be able to get home from a double feature sometime before 2am.
I cannot speak for others, but we definitely take advantage of the longer days in the summertime. I wish we didn't have DST, but since we do, we enjoy it as best we can.
