Ok who decided to share the snow with us?? It was sunny, blue skies, and 35 when I got up. Now it turned cloudy and it’s snowing??? What the ??

No.. snow and rain. Apparently wind as well.. I left my garbage can sitting behind my car last night.. wind somehow took the lid straight back onto my car.. completely shattered the glass . I put an inflatable pool, plastic, and salt bags to try to protect from the snow and rain. I have to drive it like this to the dealer- (with window out.. not with the inflatable pool lol)
Maybe this is a sign that I should clean my garage so I can actually park in there???

I'm sort of ok. Swelling is way down, but I got more blisters. At least doc says I got way less blisters than expected.
She has seen cases where the blisters spread all over the head in a single line. covering one side badly.

I’m not a fine jewelry gal at all. I buy silver or costume jewelery, I’ve always been a fan of multiple bracelets/bangle bracelets, fun earrings.
I am a handbag girl though.

So I used to hang photos of handbags on my ‘wish list’ on my pin board.. always as a goal (and doubled as a reminder to my boyfriend and then husband ). He never had to guess what to get me for my bday or Christmas One day before our wedding I jokingly said, “You know that diamonds are not a girl’s best friend, right? Hermès bags are this girls best friend.” He laughed..I told him ‘Just wanted to save you a trip to the jewelery store, forget shiny things, look to Birkin or Kelly instead.”

Ha ha.

I'm not a purse person (I think I've had the same for ten years!) but my daughter has always liked little ones to play with. They turned into a collection which needed to be downsized. Then when she came home from spending a month with my ex's family in Indiana this summer she was happy to tell me "Auntie was downsizing her closet and sent me home with four more purses!" Four COACH purses. I said yep, those are keepers!

I think you grew up during a great time. I think kids had more time to use their imaginations. Actually dh and I were talking the other day. Over 100 and 200 years ago we had some of the greatest inventions created. There were no computers and kids weren't going to fancy schools. They were not bogged down on computers and homework and television. They were able to create because they had few distractions. Think of all the great things Da Vinci came up with that were centuries ahead of his time, or Jules Verne. Einstein, Ben Franklin. So many ideas. We had great thinkers with minimal education per today's standards. They had time to just read great books from the time of the Romans and Greeks, and scholars of their time. They were way more eloquent than people today. The Declaration of Independence is a great example of eloquence. Today's kids need it broken down into words they can understand. And since many don't learn cursive anymore, need it deciphered.

I taught my daughter cursive. A lot of her grandma and great grandma's recipes are in cursive and she was adamant about learning to read it.
