I made it once too, our grocery store carries it so I just buy it there. I do make the sauerbraten and it takes just like the Biergarten's.

One of our friends has a house that's back yard butts right up to Macguire AFB those and some other cool planes go in and out on a daily basis. Good thing he likes planes.

Hope you're able to find the ingredients, and that it turns out delicious...!
The last, and only, time I ever remember ordering Beef Wellington off a restaurant menu (although, I've had it at different events over the years) was back in about '86 at a long-since defunct local little bistro called Chez Fred. I do remember it being darn delicious though.
But, I can't even remember the last time I saw it on a menu of any restaurant we've been to since.
Of course, that's probably directly related to the types of places we tend to go to...you're just not gonna' find Beef Wellington on the menus of BBQ, Tex-Mex, funky little places the kiddos hip us to, etc....!!!

Currently it's 6 degrees out--that's not too bad. However, the wind is at 21 from the northwest. The weather report 5:30 a.m. said it's going to feel like negative 21. That's too chilly even for me, so no outdoor exercise walking today!

Biergarten is my DS13 all time favorite restaurant anywhere. He could live off the pretzel bread alone. Apple strudel for me. Okay, now I am hungry.
Yum! We like the Biergarten, too...!
We have a family strudel recipe that is pretty amazing...!!!
Oh my, makin' myself hungry now, too...!
