They hit the trifecta this weekend. They forgot a grandmother's birthday, a grandfather's birthday and my birthday:grumpy::mad::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

I go for the sauerbraten.

And the spatzel.

And the beer.

And more importantly the polka music!

And the beer.

Hope you're having a great time.

I loved their Spaetzle and Sauerbraten. I genuinely miss this restaurant being a menu table service. I never ordered anything but the Sauerbraten. It was excellent. My first buffet version was in 2007 and so not the same. If I never experienced it as TS I probably would be OK with it. One of the very best QS restaurants I ever ate was Tuskers. For the price I just don't find the buffet to compare to what the QS was. The problem with going for so many decades I guess. Have to go look and see if you enjoyed your dinner and Rivers.

Hope you're able to find the ingredients, and that it turns out delicious...! :)

The last, and only, time I ever remember ordering Beef Wellington off a restaurant menu (although, I've had it at different events over the years) was back in about '86 at a long-since defunct local little bistro called Chez Fred. I do remember it being darn delicious though. :hungry:
But, I can't even remember the last time I saw it on a menu of any restaurant we've been to since.
Of course, that's probably directly related to the types of places we tend to go to...you're just not gonna' find Beef Wellington on the menus of BBQ, Tex-Mex, funky little places the kiddos hip us to, etc....!!! :hilarious:

Yeah, I BBQ fillets but I'd never attempt Beef Wellington. 2 years ago a very old but awesome steakhouse near my folks had fantastic Wellington. The best Wellington I ever ever had was in Cali. We stayed a night on the Queen Mary before hitting Disneyland. OMG while it was their best restaurant and cost ridiculous amounts it just melted in your mouth. I've only ever ate at 2 restaurants that made me uncomfortable because the service was so intense, Queen Mary's being one of them (dedicated waiter) and Nick's in Chicago. The idea of wait staff watching my every move and hearing every word I speak-well so not me. Here for your inspiration @Cesar R M
