Good morning and happy Friday. I'm hoping to just have a relaxing day as tomorrow starts the holiday prep crazy. I already moved a couch out of my living room to make room for a table. Anybody else coming here? I'm getting the birds tomorrow so I need to know how much to get!

Looks good!! For Thanksgving, we go to a nice restaurant that has a huge buffet--carving stations of turkey, prime rib, and ham. They also serve fish. There's plenty of different veggies, pasta dishes, and also a separate salad station. The dessert tables (that's right--tables, plural . . .) are a sight to behold!! :hungry: :hungry:

Still an amazing community but not exactly the Disney Community it was originally conceived to be. I am waiting to see what the Oaks ultimately wind up becoming someday.

I see what you're saying about Walt's original concept of EPCOT; he did seem like a controlling sort of person. If his original design project came to fruition, I might also have some hesitation about whatever governance he might impose on the people who would live there. (All this is hypothetical of course, but it is an interesting topic to think about.)

However, I think his heart was in the right place; he wanted to create this utopian world for people to learn, grow and enjoy. Thank goodness for the creative dreamers amongst us.

As for Celebration, I never wanted to live there. Seemed too restrictive to me, and I guess I'm just used to coexisting with all different kinds of people, living in a variety of houses or apartments. I know that Celebration is appreciated by many, but it's just not a good fit for me.

Ha! You're right--my meals are all backwards! :hilarious:

Breakfast is different every day. Sometimes I'll have a small container of plain yogurt, or Ritz crackers with either cream cheese or peanut butter, or occasionally a muffin.

Note: All these breakfast items are dog-approved by the way; Jack sits next to me each morning, salivating over my breakfast choices. He'll have a full bowl of dog food available, (which he temporarily ignores), but he always prefers to see if he can swipe some of my breakfast, too! :p I'm never sure if it's the food that he likes so much, or if it's just "dog sport" to see if he can sneak some of my breakfast, while I'm not looking! :D

Yes...it really depends on where you are, how much driving you do, and what kind of driving. Every week, we make two four-hour round trips on the highway, which may or may not be plowed. We also live in a place with an average snowfall of 80 inches. I actually don't know anyone around here who doesn't change to snow tires, although I'm sure there are some.

Actually, studded tires are legal in Mass from November until the end of April, similar to here. (We aren't that far away.)

I suspect it will be illegal not to switch to winter tires here soon. In the next province over, all cars must have snow tires from December 15 to March 15. They have found that change in law has decreased the number of weather-related accidents significantly. So, it's being discussed here.

What is this Rudy's BBQ? It sounds like the kind of place where dreams come true. Is it a local chain or national? Do they deliver to Canada? :)

Haven't done that in a while since we're eatin' healthier lately. Sooooo darn good though...!!! :hungry:
