I was still 18 when MTV launched on Aug. 1, 1981. It was all the rage and pretty cool for a coupla’ years, then I just got bored with it.
Does anyone remember the first video ever played on MTV...?!

Did a quick search for the actual video, but, couldn’t find it... :cyclops:
Yep, knew it. They play it on 80’s on 8 on XM. Haven’t seen the video in a while.

Poor kitty. How the heck did he get that chunky? Hope with all the publicity he gets a home soon.
Although, probably pretty well fed, that doesn't look like an out of proportion animal. Just a crossed or mutant gene that produced a large cat. A throw back to the animal from which they came down from genetically. His legs are about the same size as that ladies arms. Not fat, just large structured.

Good point. As I looked at the picture again, he did look like a pretty big animal. Maybe a mountain lion crossed with a housecat.

It feels so good. So nice not to have that weighing on my mind anymore.

Hee, hee . . . I guess we all have boxes or closets at least, that need to be cleaned out. I came across a box in the bottom of a closet recently, and it had some old bill receipts from . . . 2009 . . . Um, I don't think I need those anymore! :p

Reminds me a little of the many times I've moved down through the years. I've always chucked a ton of stuff, and in all sincerity, I don't even remember what I threw out! That's just how "important" the excess clutter was to my quality of life. :hilarious:

It’s $170 per semester, but $500 if you sign up/pay for the year at once.
Spanish, French, or German.

It’s optional, was not optional when part of school day curriculum- and only Spanish was offered with that, until 7th grade when they had a choice of French or Spanish. Regardless, it’s a blindside that we should have been made aware of PRIOR to the first day of school. It’s been part of the curriculum since kindergarten.

Aside of them blindsiding the parents, and aside of parents scrambling to get the money at the last minute --what really bothers me about this, is that we are living in a global society. Certainly, learning another language can only help to put these children ahead in life. For the school system to downgrade language education to an after school, privately paid for activity, is just beyond my comprehension. :banghead:

Wow! You two are having so much fun! Tell Brad he did a really nice job with his drawing; I think he has some talent there. Oh, by the way, I loved the photo of the Dapper Dans--I think that's one of the best pictures you've ever taken of them. The pose is perfect!

You looked cute. Not as bad as Richard Marx’s mullet.

There was not a day in my life I thought I looked “cute” until my mid-20’s.

In choosing a pic to post, especially around that age, I usually “had a face on” because I hated getting my picture taken.

That’s what low childhood self-esteem does. Some of us just blossom late and then we’re hot as all get out! 🤣🧔🏻🕺🏻
