I will never get these "friends" collectors.
They are not your real friends for gods sake! they are just followers or contacts!
Worse when people just add just about anyone without even checking.
Facebook never was supposed to be like Instagram or twitter.
My Facebook friends list is very controlled. There's only one person on there who I haven't actually met in person, and I carefully checked the person out before accepting a friend request.

Kids learn foreign languages better the younger they are. It is much harder to get fluent when you are older.

Reminds me of swimming lessons. I learned from a Red Cross course in my town when I was 5. I was like a fish in water! Always was a great swimmer.

Now, my mother never was taught how to swim, and she was terrified of water (that's why she enrolled me at 5 to take swimming). Also, hubs never learned how to swim either, and he tried to learn a little, a few years ago, but bailed. Just couldn't get the coordination together, and I think fear set in. Yup, it's a whole different learning curve for adults. I've seen the same type of scenario with skiing -- many kids pick it up so quickly, and have no fear.

Plus there's a part of your brain for languages that activates when you're young. Once you're older, it gets more set...not that you can't learn a language after that, but it's more set.

I actually have less of an American accent speaking Spanish than my American teachers did because my first Spanish teach was from Spain and I was 12 when I started.

The rain is bringing in the cold front which will drop the temperatures into the 70's during the day for all next week.

I forgot, summer ends in some places this time of year!

Meh. FB is whatever you want to make of it. I have real friends, chat friends, school friends, former co-workers, family, and customers.

And people I’ve never met but we have 150 friends in common including real friends, school friends, customers, etc.

Some people on Facebook: Look, I have 1,000 friends!
Me on Facebook: Oh no, we're getting close to 100. Some have got to go.
I have been on Facebook for 9 or 10 years and I currently have 35 active friends. I had more, but many of them expressed happiness about the caging of children and were completely removed from my list both Facebook and in person. Friends like that I don't want or need.
