I wish MTV would go back to just playing 80's and bring back our original VJ's. I still here 3 of them on XM 80's at least. They just replay so many of the same songs, you'd think there were only 30 songs in the 80's. Dh listens to a station on tunein radio from the UK that plays a nice variety of 80's.

I was talking about 90's music like this too. When we got home from school and watched Total Request Live, it was a mix of music. Korn and Brittney Spears and country music. It was just the top music videos regardless of genre and it was awesome.

Now all the top 40 or whatever radio shows are one genre. Top ten country songs or top 20 pop or top 15 rap. I miss the days when you could listen to one thing and get everything.

I agree, I listen to them on XM as well.. and yep... 30 songs! But also.. Nina Blackwood sounds like she's smoked a carton of cigarettes a day.. my god. She always had a gravely voice but now it's worse. My favorite was always Alan Hunter... I crushed a little on him... Martha was my second favorite.

I totally had a crush on Alan Hunter from day one of seeing him. He was my favorite and still is. His voice and Mark’s have not changed. Martha’s still sounds the same. Shame she left XM. Nina must be pushing 70?

Finally picked a suitcase that is big enough for both A and I for our trips.... One checked bag, one backpack, and a stroller. Totally manageable for one adult. Hopefully :hilarious::hilarious:

Fun!

Yes should be manageable but if you come upon any of this special type of sidewalk material. Those little brown stones set in concrete are pretty until you try and pull suitcases with spinny wheels especially more that one. If you can avoid or detour around those.

those fries look delicious.
Also, how long will the Main Street Parade be at Disneyland? I thought Paint the Night was back?

Main Street electrical is only until the end of September I think. I wish it was Paint the Night but that has been gone for almost a year.

I found out something.

My younger brother was invited to a D23 party on August 24th due to him being a Disney Movie points holder, but couldn't go. It was My younger brother plus 1 and I'm guessing that plus 1 would've been me. What happened was we already had plans of that day and it is not possible for us to go to California that day.

We are going to that. It is being offered as something for after D23 Expo that day. It was 150 movie reward points. It includes food, drinks (including alcohol), and a opportunity to see Fantasmic from a special viewing area.
The event sold out within a couple minutes.

Finally after months of procrastinating, the basement is all cleaned up. Threw out so much stuff. A shame I didn’t do it yesterday since today was garbage day. Nonetheless, a most dreaded task is completed.

Why don’t you go over and do mine too! It was a task I thought about all summer but didn’t do. Maybe next summer. I’m sure it feels good to have that done.

The more I think about it, the more angry I get. “Surprise! You need to pay an extra $500 by next week, for something that has always been included in previous years!”
What???

An hour after school is extremely inconvenient, kiddo has soccer at 5pm.. now he’ll literally be leaving school, changing, going to a sport, and getting home at 7:15 or so.. then dinner and doing homework until bedtime.

What a stupid decision!
I am a bit of a conservative when it makes sense for purpose of stopping meaningless spending, but I also have worked for school districts that repeatedly had the budget voted down because the "public" was afraid that their taxes were going to go up a couple of dollars. That is compete foolishness in my opinion because now, when required for college, programs are cut, the individuals have to pay for it directly. So instead of a few bucks it cost individuals $500.00. The ones that gain by that are those with no children in schools so now they don't have to help the community with positive growth and we as a nation continue to decline.

Same argument for health insurance for all. Yea, let's all pay $50K for that cancer operation on Mom instead of being part of the masses that pay pennies to pitch into helping that cause. Sometimes we are so afraid that we will be called socialist that we shoot ourselves in the foot. Who knows maybe if people had a better education, we might not be making that mistake.
