Aloha from Copenhagen![]()
Aloha from my couch.Aloha from Disneyland! I hope you two are having a great time!
Yes! Sirius has been announcing it every day for weeks. Was anyone else aware that today is the 50th anniversary of Woodstock?
Apparently, work didn't forget. Thought it was a good excuse to decorate the building, have people dress up in Woodstock costumes, and basically turn it into a hippie nightmare.
I don't listen to Sirius. My parents have an account, but I prefer Spotify.Yes! Sirius has been announcing it every day for weeks.![]()

I texted my mom about it. She didn't know either. There's a dude in tie dye and an afro wig. I'm borderline terrified, my dad says it's what the sixties were like.Umm no.
I was not born in the 60’s. I managed to skirt that decade by 6 months.I texted my mom about it. She didn't know either. There's a dude in tie dye and an afro wig. I'm borderline terrified, my dad says it's what the sixties were like.
My dad was born in 1960. I told my mom I now feel sorry for him having to grow up in that decade with all the questionable fashion choices.I was not born in the 60’s. I managed to skirt that decade by 6 months.![]()
I was coming of age and if I hadn't been in the service in Vietnam at the time, I would have attended. The 60's were a turbulent time, but honestly, we still continue to be. In some ways it feels worse because I thought we had learned something, but we have not. As far as questionable fashion choices let me be one of the first to tell you that 50 years from now you will be looking at pictures of yourself and wondering how you were ever foolish enough to go out looking like that. Nothing really ever changes... only attitudes about them.My dad was born in 1960. I told my mom I now feel sorry for him having to grow up in that decade with all the questionable fashion choices.

Probably not as much just because my choice in clothes is just very classic, and I don't do extreme hairstyles or anything. I remember when ponchos were the rage in the early 00s. My mom said they were cute I thought they were hideous. Over ten years later, the world agrees with me. I could easily pass with my wardrobe in the 90s, 00s, or today. I do get your point. I mean, I look back at photos of my mom in the 80s and go, "Good grief, what were you thinking?"As far as questionable fashion choices let me be one of the first to tell you that 50 years from now you will be looking at pictures of yourself and wondering how you were ever foolish enough to go out looking like that. You go girl!!!! Love it!! Sunshine here she comes!Just added Sunday night to our reservation at Universal Cabana Bay. $123 for Sunday night in a poolview suite. That is a passholder rate. They have Passholder appreciation days going on right now. So a week hotel stay for us in under $1000. That is just amazing.
Well, 50 years from now I will not be around to find out... however, that said, you can remind yourself at that time that a very smart senior citizen is saying "I told ya so" from the beyond.Probably not as much just because my choice in clothes is just very classic, and I don't do extreme hairstyles or anything. Edit: the exception being the 40s. I watch Indiana Jones and go, "Wow, they knew how to dress back then."
I dress the same way. My mom taught me to always go with classic looks. I am not responsible for the bell bottoms I wore in the 70’s. Hated them then, hate them now. I agree with the fashion in the 40’s. Love how they dressed.Probably not as much just because my choice in clothes is just very classic, and I don't do extreme hairstyles or anything.
