That was what I was trying to avoid. I didn't want to lose everything. I got into the computer age at an older age and even though I can operate just about every program they throw at me, I have limited to zero knowledge of a lot of the terminology, I'm still not sure about the difference between Download and Upload never mind the inner workings of the systems.Good endorsement for the product. When I just can't get things to work anymore.. I'll often resort to setting back to factory settings, this seems to work, but you do lose everything.
My "family" connection with computer knowledge (my SIL, an IT manager) and my daughter (who has had a number of her own short term businesses creating Web Pages, etc. interrupted by pregnancies) are currently over their heads dealing with a home improvement project that went terribly wrong. I felt that I didn't want to ask them for physical help, he is, however, the one that advised me to get Malwarebytes though.
