I mix the sour cream in and the cream calms the spice down. I suppose it is like if she added milk. I would add it to the whole pot but hubs doesn't like sour cream. After your question I was curious if there was a more scientific answer and there were some articles about how to make things less spicy, here is a link to one.
https://www.seriouseats.com/2011/01/what-to-do-when-you-add-too-much-spice-make-less-spicy.html
From what I understand, the sour cream doesn't alter the spice directly, but, what it does do is coat the inside of ones mouth so that the "burn" isn't as intense. Drinking milk along with the meal does somewhat the same thing. Liquids such as water do not coat the mouth/tongue so they provide momentary relief but not for long. Milk will coat the mouth and provide a bit of a covering that will allow less of the spice to get to ones Taste Buds.

Oh I have to show this to T, he will love it.

Great job! How did it taste? I’d love a nonfat cake recipe!
The recipe I used. https://thevegan8.com/2016/07/28/vegan-gluten-free-funfetti-birthday-cake/
Oh and everyone loved it. My oldest who doesn't like sweets really enjoyed the cake and wished I had made one without frosting so she wouldn't have had to pick it off. My ds who is the pickiest of them all even ate it. It doesn't have the same texture as regular cake. It was more like a sugar cookie in texture I guess. The moisture comes from the blanched almond flour.

I’m heartbroken for one of the players who is being moved down. The mom wants to fight it, with an attorney if necessary, even if it means leaving the club next season.

I don’t know how far she will take it, but I’ve scouring over the bylaws as well..I wish I had more of a way to help her. Her son did not deserve it. I think there was a lot of politics involved, and I think they thought his family wouldn’t push back. They’re so quiet and sweet.. 5 kids, 4 of which play club soccer for that club. I think that makes it all the more heartbreaking. She hasn’t told him yet. It’s just an ugly situation all the way around.. but from what I see, she has a case to fight it, at least demand to be heard by the board.
If everyone is told that kids are to be on the same team for a full season, then it really is unfair and their club practices need to be revisited. I think @Songbird76 said it best when she said the coaching staff really is supposed to bring out the best in their players. They have these really talented kids and they are dumping on them instead of working on improving what may be little things. Not very good coaching. I love it with the youngest's cheer school. There are kids who may not have a skill perfected yet, but they are still on the team and will do a simpler skill while the others do a tougher one. They learn to work as a team. They all have their strengths and the coach knows how to showcase each child's strength.

This is an excerpt from the original email about tryouts, 2 months ago, from the club director..

This was the team admin’s response to the Mom referencing that email..and how can her son be moved down at this stage..

So that sounds like another parent had already found that section of the bylaws, and questioned it. There may be more people who are fighting.. we just don’t know who. I’m hoping they can work together. I can’t imagine the director is not aware of their own bylaws.. but he’s been contacted, I’m waiting to see how they respond.

I’m relieved that I’m not dealing with this, but I do not think any of this is ok. I almost hope that we’re missing some wording, somewhere, and that this isn’t as shady as it looks. Either way, T’s teammate of 12 months now, that kid specifically should not have been moved. I can’t even imagine how he will feel. It’s so ugly!! Him and T do every extra training they have..goalkeeper included.. they play so well together, that kid has been with the club for two years now, because he should be..he’s a good player...it just makes me so angry.
Well, it seems to be there in black and white. No kid should be moved until after Spring.

Yeah. Usually, people are grateful. Today, however, I got asked for the status of a purchase req. I checked it, sent him the status and sent a guide for how to check it himself. He said he normally would even though it is "torture" (FYI, it's really not that hard...) and that he needed my help because it was urgent. I didn't reply to the email and instead mentioned it to my boss, who then had me forward her the chain. Then, I guess when I ignored him, he sent an email to my boss saying I "wasn't willing to help". My boss already had the email chain and sided with me.
Speaking of IT. I think that I mentioned having some computer problems, but, I don't think I told you that I decided to install Malewarebytes to see if that would help. So on Saturday I went to the website and attempted to download the "paid" version of the system. It got me through everything but every time I attempted to download it I got an error message. So I e-mailed them telling them that I needed help to install it. On Tuesday, I finally received the reply from a fellow named Adam. After reading my problems and sending me different links that also failed he finally asked to get access to my computer so he could help. I gave it to him and even he could not get it to download. He then asked for my phone number to see if he could walk it through with me. I have one stubborn computer. We eventually had to create another user to even get into safe mode.

To make a long story shorter, the man stayed on the phone with me for 2 1/2 hours, called in a number of associates and the boss to see if anyone could figure out why. It finally after countless attempts and his saying, let's try this, got it to download. He ran the scan and it picked up on 518 threats, eliminated them and I now have a computer that runs like new. It cost me $42.00 for the program, but, I was looking down the barrel of having to buy a new computer. I have nothing but praise for Malwarebytes at this point. BTW, in case anyone is depending on Windows Defense to catch problems, the most they ever found after multiple scans were 3 threats. Adam had the patience of a saint and the worse word he uttered was "darn". I told him that if nothing else I gave him a challenge. He replied that, yes, it was good and he was getting a little bored on the job, but, not anymore!

Good endorsement for the product. When I just can't get things to work anymore.. I'll often resort to setting back to factory settings, this seems to work, but you do lose everything.
