nice..

nice! I always wondered how big the mall feels. The photos makes it look massive!
I always wanted to check it out.
so many pretty colors!

It is a very big mall, there are lots of new stores opening and I think expansion plans are in the planning stages. If you ever visit let me know!

The colors were very pretty. They said on the news we had more yellow colors this year instead of orange and reds because of of all the cloudy days. The yellow is still pretty.

No pizza this time. He said he won’t be near a Lou’s. We are currently planning on going down to see his family around Christmas so maybe I’ll get my pizza then.
After last Christmas with the foot etc blow up you deserve far more than Lou Malnati’s if you come here for Christmas with his family woman!!! I can’t even imagine.

@ajrwdwgirl -- what a fun getaway weekend! That mall has always intrigued me. Glad to hear that more stores are moving in, as malls in general are shrinking. So the one in your area is doing some very good business. That's encouraging.

Loved the photos from the Arboreum. I just love fall--my favorite season (followed closely by winter!). That's a beautiful place.

As for the ice rink, too bad you couldn't skate on it--looked odd with all those people "walking" in the ice?! :hilarious: Glad you had fun watching the game.

The food looked really good all weekend, by the way. :hungry:

There are two malls near me less than one mile from each other. The empty mall had put in a WalMart and Kohls in a decade ago but only a year ago.....it filled up with other big box stores plus a Planet Fitness but it's not really a mall now. And yes, we had a Sears that no one went to.

We had a huge rain storm in 2010 where everything flooded. Ironic that the empty mall was dry and the mall across the river was flooded almost to the highest point of the entry doors.

Good question. Part of the enamel chipped one day, for no reason other than that it's older than I am, and now it's starting to crack. We're going to use caulc on it for now

Mom likes it, and my idea of knocking out the wall and closet. She's going to talk to a contractor about getting a quote and what he thinks about redoing the plumbing for moving the tub and such.

Dad I don't think cares that much; just about how much it will cost.
Any chance of a DIY to bring down the cost?

More of our Saturday...
The game was great, although during the first period we thought the Wild would lose but they won in overtime!
During warm ups.

And they WON!

Then today, Sunday after breakfast we said goodbye to the hotel and headed over to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, I’ve post some from there before. The fall colors were great, there were some neat pumpkin displays, and we got there early before the crowds.

I could only handle walking on the ice, skating is not my forte. Spring and summer are my favorite months but fall is pretty until I remember that winter is behind it!

Please tell me you're not thinking of going this year! Please wasn't a request it was a strong suggestion

We have a hotel booked and are planning on it. Hubs says I don’t have to go if I don’t want to, but I know he wants me there for support. I don’t know if I want to throw him into the wolves alone. I did tell him if any bad weather was in the forecast I wasn’t going.

I do plan to just be as minimally polite as possible and no helping with dinner or whatever like usual.
