urghh my boss texted me this morning because apparently I forgot to sign my timesheet on Friday and then again 5 hours later. I feel like I work for Hitler sometimes.
I say this as someone who previously managed timesheets for the entire department: there is no reason, ever, for a supervisor to text an employee over the weekend because a timesheet wasn't done on Friday. Everyone forgets now and then; he could have just had you do it first thing in Monday. Or emailed you to remind you. Sheesh.

This is why, as a general rule, I don't give my personal number out to bosses. HR of course has it for emergencies, but if it's a weekend...I don't want to be bothered. Not that mine ever would text me on a weekend (she's more checked out than I am) but I learned the hard way that giving a personal number to a boss is not a great idea. Just my opinion.

10 days until Halloween View attachment 321157
Trick or Treating for city I live in has it Saturday Night and Sunday Afternoon next weekend. It is not a typo. It is the first year for night time trick or treating from house to house since the 1960s or 1970s for the area to my understanding.

Sundays is crazy for amount of Trick or Treaters in the past with it being 1,000 to 1,300 in 3 hours on a good weather day:jawdrop:. What caused so many is not all areas have trick or treating at the same time and some go here since they have bad neighborhoods. The amount of Trick or Treaters doesn't include dogs.

I said dogs because in the past I've seen dogs dressed up for Halloween with the owner expects you to put candy into bag for the dog including chocolate:facepalm:. The person who I helped in the past refused to put candy in bags for dogs. The person felt the dog could be used for the kid getting more candy or the owners of the dog might be dumb enough to give the dog Reese peanut butter cups.

I’m totally pouting today.

•Bengals lost last weekend. (To the team who’s name I can not say)

•Messi broke his arm and will miss El Classico (and more..)

•OSU absolutely humiliated themselves and their fans.

Not a good sequence of sports over 7 days.

Here’s hoping that my own kid wins today. He’s my last hope. ;)
I am behind for the day, but I hope T’s team won.

I am not helping with trick or treating this year. The person who I help decided not to hand out treats this year due to a combination of reasons starting with cost of treats this year. I'm sorry, but I agree with the person I helped out because of the potential amount of trick or treaters in less than 24 hours is crazy in this case. The problem is if you are dealing with over 1,000 trick or treaters in 3 hours on one day, you don't need additional 2 hours to hand out candy.

Even before the back to back days, that person also had enough with the dog owners wanting their dogs wanting candy and the people who want to video everything including front room of house from the outside.

Hubs and I had a little get away this weekend. We spent the weekend in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul) area, actually our hotel was right across the street from the Mall of America. I thought I’d share a mini-trip report and some pictures if you don’t mind.

Friday night after work and check in at the hotel we walked over to the Mall and had dinner. We had appetizers and drinks at Margaritaville and a place called Cowboy Jacks. We saw the “light show” at the theme park in the middle of the mall and browsed the Disney store. I found a new frying pan for @figmentfan423 .

On Saturday we slept in a bit, had breakfast at the hotel, enjoyed the hot tub and then headed to the Mall as it opened for some more shopping/wandering around. Here’s a look at the theme park in the day time.

Around noon we left the mall and headed to downtown St Paul. We went to lunch at a hockey bar. We enjoyed some wings, beverages, and poutine!

Saturday: The Minnesota Wild was having an educator appreciation night and as part of the ticket package was an on ice experience. Basically we needed to show up at 4pm and we would be able to walk out on the ice, check out the benches and get the view the players get of the arena. It was a really cool experience but also terrifying as I’m afraid of falling on ice (too many previous falls). But I did it and no falling occurred.

Here are some on ice pictures...

My towns trick or treating is always on Halloween from 6-8pm.

Then we had to leave the arena for awhile. We didn’t feel like going into any of the bars so we wandered downtown and ended up at an Italian pastry shop and grocery store. We shared a chocolate peanut butter mousse type of cake, it was really yummy.

The gates officially opened at 5:45 for the game so we headed back to the arena and got our free tee shirt that was part of our package. It has a design similar to the sign.

Then we wandered around and eventually found our seats guards the top.
