More of our Saturday...
The game was great, although during the first period we thought the Wild would lose but they won in overtime!
During warm ups.

Then today, Sunday after breakfast we said goodbye to the hotel and headed over to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, I’ve post some from there before. The fall colors were great, there were some neat pumpkin displays, and we got there early before the crowds.

This looks like a fun weekend... that peanut butter thing looks nummy... that's one thing that Rochester MN doesn't have .. is a Patisserie.. they need one... One can only live so long on STAM chocolate alone. But I'm only there once a year, so I can't complain too much I suppose. We don't have a good patisserie here either.. just one macarone place.

Last few pictures at the Arboretum. We headed back home from there around 11 and stopped for lunch at a place called Smashburger. It was tasty and sorry no pictures of that. We got home around one and shortly after that picked up Kapono from the kennel. She had survived! It was her first time going to a kennel and I was very nervous about it. She was happy to see us and not so happy about the bath when she got home! But she has been snuggling ever since! Hubs can’t enjoy the snuggles, he had to head down to Chicago for work for a few days. Luckily he will be bringing home some good Garret popcorn when he come home!

First, I love your shirts. Second, what a cool (no pun intended) experience!

Thanks! B ordered the shirts for us as a surprise over a month ago and they didn't show up until noon on Friday, talk about last minute delivery! He got them online from Fantatics, I guess other teams have similar designs for multiple sports.

Well, I love my baths (as does my brother) and I rarely take showers, so I'd really like to do something like this:
Screenshot_2018-10-21-17-56-38.png
Right now, my bathroom is kind of an L shape, with the toilet in the corner of the L and a closet next to it. I'd love to knock out the closet and swap the toilet and the bathtub and get a bigger bathtub. I also went in there and measured, and my tub is only 57 inches. Typically, they make tubs at 60 inches, so...we'd either have to get it custom-made or find another option. Personally, I'd rather knock it out and get a bigger tub.

Then, we could do the vanity more like this

Just tons of cabinets instead of a closet. Then stick the toilet in the corner next to the vanity.

I love the look of vessel sinks, so something like this one would be perfect:

The good thing is that I already got all new pieces a while back for the sink (new toothbrush holder, new soap dish, etc), new trashcan, and new rugs, so we can just continue on that color scheme. I'm thinking green and grey. End goal is for it to feel very modern, but elegant.

I don't have a car while I'm there, it's a knitting retreat so I'm hanging out and knitting with 200 of my closest knitter/online friends!

Hubs and I had a little get away this weekend. We spent the weekend in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul) area, actually our hotel was right across the street from the Mall of America. I thought I’d share a mini-trip report and some pictures if you don’t mind.

Friday night after work and check in at the hotel we walked over to the Mall and had dinner. We had appetizers and drinks at Margaritaville and a place called Cowboy Jacks. We saw the “light show” at the theme park in the middle of the mall and browsed the Disney store. I found a new frying pan for @figmentfan423 .

On Saturday we slept in a bit, had breakfast at the hotel, enjoyed the hot tub and then headed to the Mall as it opened for some more shopping/wandering around. Here’s a look at the theme park in the day time.

Around noon we left the mall and headed to downtown St Paul. We went to lunch at a hockey bar. We enjoyed some wings, beverages, and poutine!

How does a tub end up with a crack in it?
Good question. Part of the enamel chipped one day, for no reason other than that it's older than I am, and now it's starting to crack. We're going to use caulc on it for now
Purty what do your parents think?
Mom likes it, and my idea of knocking out the wall and closet. She's going to talk to a contractor about getting a quote and what he thinks about redoing the plumbing for moving the tub and such.

Dad I don't think cares that much; just about how much it will cost.

nice..
Saturday: The Minnesota Wild was having an educator appreciation night and as part of the ticket package was an on ice experience. Basically we needed to show up at 4pm and we would be able to walk out on the ice, check out the benches and get the view the players get of the arena. It was a really cool experience but also terrifying as I’m afraid of falling on ice (too many previous falls). But I did it and no falling occurred.

Here are some on ice pictures...

nice! I always wondered how big the mall feels. The photos makes it look massive!
I always wanted to check it out.
