Everybody pray to the deity of your choice that Florence doesn't hit the mainland here in the US or any place else for that matter. In the mean time @Goofyernmost, @93boomer, @StarWarsGirl, @Dead2009 and anybody else that may need to prep start doing so and I hope @93boomer I hope your dh doesn't get called out to work in it.
So far it doesn't look like we're getting a direct hit here. But if we were to get a direct hit and my family were to stay in the house again, I'd be going to stay with a friend. Last time, that was absolutely hell.

A tale of two cities, then. ;) There are also some satellite garages, if people want to walk, but even those at minimum are at least $25 for a game. Too bad your city's transit isn't a better option -- ours is fine, and tons of people use it daily.

There is very little public parking directly around the UT football stadium. There is limited public parking on Trinity (in the upper left of the image below). There is also a decent parking lot adjacent to the LBJ Library off Red River to the middle-ish right. The rest are open parking lots filled with tailgaters that get there the day/night before, and parking garages.

The first season (‘04-‘05) we worked concessions there, parking was $10 at all locations. They won the National Championship that season. When we came back to work concessions the following season, parking had doubled to $20 everywhere.
Fortunately, we would show up about 3 hours before game time and find free parking close to the stadium (UT didn’t allow tailgaters in those spots, and folks that were just going to the game, generally, didn’t show up ‘til much later.
But, we also didn’t leave ‘til about 3 hrs. after the game ended, sooo...we missed the mass exodus, too...!!!!! :hilarious::cyclops:;):)

My family is honestly just heaving a sigh of relief that this storm isn't hitting Hilton Head again. It my affect it, but at least it isn't in the direct path.

Thank you, Figgy. Not to concerned just yet. Check back in on Wednesday. By then I might be changing my mind. We got all kinds of warning about Hurricane Sandy. It did a job on the outer banks, but, it wouldn't have blown out a match here in the Raleigh area. In fact it did far more damage in your area and even Vermont, then it did here. Here's hoping it misses both of us and just fizzles out.

The ones I am most concerned about are my Daughter and her family that are still living in a tent in their backyard trying to get their house remodel to be completed.

It still has 1000 miles to go before it reaches land. It still could go any direction. It appears that they have given an approximate 600 miles leeway for landfall. It could still veer off and stay in the ocean, we hope.

I already did and they are:D I forgot what a PITA spatzel is to make:eek:

Yep I have made it a few times, now I just buy a box. Sorry that isn't an option for you, it is so much easier!

I'm cooking a dinner tonight for us. I put 2 pork chops in the slow cooker with 1 can of cream of chicken soup and 1 envelope of dry, Ranch dressing. It's really easy and comes out great!

Sounds good.:hungry:

Yikes I hope it misses everybody but do they have a plan?
