So here are pictures from our day in Hershey.
The Gardens are up on a hill that are right across from Hershey Park, so you get a nice view.

They built a new conservatory that openend in 2016 so I knew we hadn’t been since 2015, because we never saw it. It houses a now all year Butterfly exhibit. They used to just have a summertime exhibit like Minnie’s Butterfly Garden. It will be nice to see butterflies in the winter now.

We made our way to the gift shop and looked around. My 2 youngest ended up getting sun hats in their favorite colors. Funny thing is is that they each were wearing dresses in the others favorite color.

Is it just me or are people recklessly crazy on the roads this Labor Day? Today,we saw one NJ woman who was driving alone and texting . :oops:She drove off an interstate and into a guard rail. Luckily she lived. Then I saw a couple of traditional 2 vehicle crashes as well. Although today I just took my "girls' to the outlet.....I felt grateful to make it back alive

That, sadly, happens probably everyday. Too many people think they can control their phones or whatever and drive at the same time. :(

Wow! Those views are amazing. The cantilevering of the terraces= scary. Really beautiful architecture. Those homes on the hills are HUGE! Chips and salsa look delicious and your kids look great! When is the due date? Must be coming close.

Thank you!!! :)
The views are indeed amazing, and even more so in person...!!!!!
When it comes to the cantilevered terraces/decks, I have no problem whatsoever with them...they were engineered by the same guy that did our firms office building that we lease space out of to other companies, including a medical research company. He’s well-known for over-engineering the carp out of everything, and that costs more $$$$$, but, it’s worth the peace of mind...!!!!! ;):)
And yes, the salsa has chunks of garlicky goodness in it, as well as plenty of decent kick without overpowering, and the chips are perfect...!!!!! :hungry:

Thank you again about our kiddos, and thanks for asking about oldest DD!!!
The official due date is October 11th...DSs birthday is Oct. 7th, and mine is Oct. 20th.
All is well with DD and baby, and we are all looking forward to whenever granddaughter is ready to start her adventure with us all...!!!!! :hilarious:;):)

Again, thank you so much for asking...!!! :)

No issues. We didn't even know about it until we woke up, have been having regular thunderstorms lately. Thanks for checking in! It's actually passed us within the last hour.

Thinking about a road trip Wednesday. It's B's only day off and our anniversary is Friday.

Leaning towards renting a convertible and taking it to Islamorada for lunch and coming right back. Then again, it's 2 hours to Islamorada - only one more hour to...

Do it. Go all the way!!!

(But stop in Islamorada for a drink ;) )

Best of luck to the children starting up school for the fall, and to the parents who are adjusting their own schedules for work, daycare, etc.

The only thing I don't like about the kids returning to school, concerns my usual workday morning commute. When you add kids & young adults who are unfamiliar with public transit, and it takes them forever to figure out the payment system on the bus & trains, it really slows down the commute. Sometimes I miss my train connection due to these delays. This all straightens out within a month, once everyone has figured out their routine, but man, I hate September!! :banghead:

I’m one of the few parents who dreads going back to school. This year so far is absolutely nuts between the new job the same day of T’s first day.

I’ve already missed the “class shirt” deadline. Now frantically contacting everyone to find out who the vendor is so I can just call myself. Haven’t had any luck, so I’m calling the school tomorrow and hoping the secretary can give me the info. This is one time when I hate that I don’t attend PTA meetings. :(

In my defense (somewhat) every year our run and Class tee shirt orders come home in the way of a paper form to be filled out and sent back with a check for the 2 items. This year it was a random email by an address that I don’t have “starred”.. I totally missed it!!!
I saw the email on Friday around 5pm.. deadline was 11am. Emailed the person in charge and she told me “no late exceptions”

We’re doing good thanks! I fell so behind in this thread I feel bad posting because I’ve missed so much!

Yes, I started my new job. The longer commute kind of stinks, I realized that I have a few extra taxes now ... but besides that I think it will be great!

I’m trying to be smart about my bonus.. as much as I want to put it towards a trip, I’m going to do the responsible thing and put it in savings. I had enough expenses this summer with the bathroom remodeling and new front doors. I decided that I can’t take the baseboards and doors anymore so now all of them are being replaced to white.
Glad to hear all is well. Don’t worry about missing pages in the thread. No one cares if you cannot “ketchup”.
