{{{HUGS}}} Chlorine was my kids oxygen

My kids only had Sundays off for competitive swimming, either a meet or practice. Mornings 5:45 until 8am during summer. Evening Practice 5pm till 630pm.
There were two a days M,T,TH&F Meets on Weds Evenings and Saturday Mornings at 8am warm ups at 7am or on a bus to away meets by 630am. Winter Club was worse and High School had weights in the morning before school 5:45am until 7am and in water 4pm-6pm. If nothing else they learned time management, how to do homework on the bus and in cars and nobody on had time nor energy to ever get themselves into trouble. Neither kid had any regrets.
That is a hectic schedule. Your kids must have loved it. My youngest lives, eats, and breathes competitive cheer right now. She thinks 5 hours a week for practice is not enough. She begs me to get private lessons for her as well. Lets see how long this obsession lasts.

so.. ahem.. wheres the link? *nudge nudge* I want to see ;)
A point I'd like to make before posting the link to the website: this theme park has a roller coaster and unfortunately when you open the link that is the opening image they present. But the park is NOT ABOUT that. This is a European based theme park. The park is subdivided into multiple sections that represent: England, France, Germany, Festa Italia, Ireland, Italy, New France, Oktoberfest, and Scotland. There are eateries and shows related to the various countries. Does that some what sound A BIT like Epcot? I mean, Busch G is not Epcot....but it is also not a roller coaster based Six Flags either.
OK.....here it is:

Thanks for this! I’m glad your kids had a great experience! I’m going to think about your comment whenever I start to doubt. It’s about having fun, improving in sports you love, and meeting and spending time with new friends. It’s a lot of time, but I don’t think it feels like a lot of time to the kids themselves. Looking back on my own youth, I know I was busy, but I’d never regret it.

I’m happy that we decided not to do the summer training with the club though, he worked with a personal trainer, but only 2-4 hours per week (minus 1 while at camp), and better times of day than the training was.. it was a great break, and T is excited for the Fall season. I’m mostly worried about my own time management 😂
I don’t think I mentioned it, but he didn’t end up trying out for a baseball team last month. I had to put my foot down there. He’ll still play baseball, but just for the regular school team, not select, at least not this upcoming year. There are kids who do select baseball and select soccer at the same time, but it’s one more night of practice that we just can’t add. Baseball is also a sport where I feel like he won’t fall behind as he would if he didn’t play competitive soccer. He’ll still work with a pitching coach over the winter, and my dad works with him a lot on baseball too.
We’re livin’ and learnin’ how to manage a calendar over here. :)

Speaking of time management., maybe I shouldn’t have had 2 bathrooms done at once. Lol.

The guest bathroom is ALMOST completed!! It was completely gutted.. not too much more yet.. should be finished Friday.

It’s a tiny bathroom, I hate that the toilet is next to the sink.. but I did what I could.
I went kind of cheep in here.. the contractors couldn’t remove the tile on 2 walls in the shower. They tried, but finally gave up and said it could compromise the structure. It set us back over a week.. ended up having to do something called “bath fitters” in the shower instead of new tile. :(. I’m ok with it though, trying to be anyway.. that restroom rarely every gets used. Overnight guests can deal with it. 😂;)

Here’s the current state of T’s bathroom.😐

Electrician is coming today to rewire. The person who built this home ran way too many lines to the same place. Didn’t realize that until the walls were opened. ... and look at this concrete!!🙄

So, we’re sharing my bathroom right now, which is staying how it is for now... it’s the only non-hideous bathroom in the house.lol. I have a half bath in the basement that needs redone as well, but that’s wayyyyyy down on the to-do list.

You know what, Busch Gardens is great but it is a one day experience. Disney World is a multi day experience. You don't have to give up a week in Disney. Another possibility would be for those who live within driving distance of Virginia to go in December. Catch the Christmas spirit European-style by going to Busch Gardens when it is all decked out for Christmas.

Thanks for the videos. The VR ride does look like fun. My kids would love that. I know it is an affordable trip for us and maybe it would be an option for a short weekend. It is about 4-5 hours from us. The Christmas Mouse in Williamsburg is a great shop where we have gotten ornaments from.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Do you think it’s fine to wait until DVD?
I say if you aren't the biggest Pooh fan it can wait only because it will look just as fine on a small screen as a big. We are big Pooh fans here so it was not going to wait. I am glad we went. I was not disappointed. Money well spent. We don't see that many movies in the theater so I am picky with what movies we see.
