ah coupons.

What I don't like about coupons is the restrictions on everything. It's like okay, what can I use it for then?

I like Adidas clothes but you can't use any coupons for them (at least at Kohl's) which I have a 30% off coupon.

This is why I rarely ever shop at Macy’s now, their coupons are too exclusive.
If you like Adidas just sign up for a free Score Card at Dick’s and watch out for their sales. I’ve found that Dicks and Nordstrom Rack are the 2 best stores to get deals on Nike/Adidas/UA/North Face.
Nordstrom/Nordstrom Rack have a great rewards system as well thru a debit card.

How's he doing today? James loved his cast because he got to use the elevator and every kid in school wanted to sign it.
He's ok....he's just frustrated, but he IS figuring out how to do things. Getting his tshirt off was much easier yesterday, for example. He had a freak-out last night. DH and DD went out to play pokemon go, but he decided to stay home. He's been sleeping downstairs on the couch because it's been so hot here and it stays a bit cooler downstairs. He was downstairs watching TV and fell asleep. I called to him to see how he was doing and didn't get an answer and it was REALLY quiet. So when I got done switching the laundry over, I decided to go check on him. I went downstairs and he was OUT, so I called DH to let him know they needed to be quiet when they came in, and I let him sleep because he had not slept well Friday night. He woke up and was completely disoriented...he didn't know where he was, didn't see or hear anyone so he thought he was alone. Poor kid. He calmed down once he realized he WASN'T alone and that he was just downstairs rather than in his bed, and it was still night time, not morning. It's just going to take some getting used to.

You’re correct. I should have just asked for a manager right then.. I felt bad for holding people up on a Saturday night, and her attitude was horrible. None of it made sense.

Lesson learned.
You should see me at the grocery store. I know the policies for every one I go to. One has a get one free if the shelf tag is wrong. Guess who always makes sure to fill jumbo bags of veggies:angelic::angelic::angelic:

I will definitely never make that mistake again. I RARELY buy T’s clothes when they’re not on sale.. only if I’m forced to because he needs a specific item for something. With his affection for $45 Nike shorts, and my aversion to their price tag, I always wait for a sale + rewards to get the maximum discount on them.
Instead, yesterday I didn’t get any items on sale, besides my rewards.. and he doesn’t even need two more pair of gray UA shorts. The whole reason I passed on the Nike is because they were not on sale.
So stupid.:hilarious:

My lunch. Nappa cabbage, romaine lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, fennel, dill, parsley, cilantro, onion, oregano. I'm having it with a walnut garlic, dressing with a secret ingredient
Very pretty. :)I didn't get a picture but my lunch started with a big salad of baby beet greeens, baby spinach, red pepper, green onion, purple cabbage, some dill pickle relish(sugar and vinegar free), avocado dressing, oregano, parsley, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, pepper, and cumin. After that I ate some brown rice that had been sauteed with broccoli, cauliflower, and peppers. Loads of spices added.:hungry:

It was. This was the first time I put dill pickle relish in it. The brand was Bubbie's. The only ingredients are the cucumbers, salt, dill, garlic, mustard seed, spices, and water. They make a sauerkraut that is just cabbage, salt, and water. I have put that in the salad too, but ran out. The nearest place to buy it is 40 miles away. In any case the salad was very refreshing, and delicious. :)

It’s too far back now for me to find, but I did see a convo on whole foods and weight loss.

This wouldn’t work for me. I know a lot of people who have done the “Whole 30” over the past year or so, and sometimes I look at their meals and just know I would actually gain weight with them.

For me personally, a combo of fresh foods- as well as the way I prepare them, plus “low fat” or “reduced sugar” options, plus limiting bad carbs and snacks at home... this is the lifestyle that works for me.

However, I am now up 15lbs in the past year.. heaviest I’ve been in my life..besides pregnancy, and even then I only weighed 8lbs more than what I do now. That’s attributed more to my lack or exercise the past year more than my diet though.

Can you order from the company online? 40 Miles is definitely too far to travel for groceries!

Dill is wonderful in everything! I actually put it in our frittatas too.
