There is truth in what you say in one sense. However, I happen to like Starbucks. They can build them one on top of the other for all I care--I just happen to LOVE their dark roasts. :hungry:
Are you sitting down?
If not do so NOW!
The latest studies show dark roast have more benefits than light roasts of course those studies were for lack coffee

Hi all! :) First off thank you for the many well wishes. It's been a long few weeks and I just had to step away from a lot in my life and regroup. The diagnosis was nothing for the longest time then the torn hip muscle with hyperextended knee (which is positive), then MS, then not MS, then rheumatoid arthritis, then not that, then MS again, then not, then yes with scarring from over fifteen years ago and no symptoms since then.....a real mental rollercoaster! Everyone has told me to get second opinion on the MS thing so I am.

Then three friends all lost their moms since Memorial Day. It comes in threes so I'm done with that! School has been out for a few weeks so that's been nice. I'm not digging the 90* days but this week was so cold our heat ran at night. Mother Nature!

I think for once I may have to dive in somewhere and ketchup, I just don't where. Just keep swimming....just keep swimming....:D

I couldn't believe it was printed in the first place. Something similar happened to one of my friends, lived with one parent and no contact with the other. Long story short my friend tracked down the other parent and they became quite close. Having met both of the parents it may have been the best decision for my friend to grow up and be normalish(I did say one of my friends) back then there were no co-parenting classes and such.

Thanks! It was a rough night...he didn't sleep much. But this morning they just looked at the cast, had him move his fingers, told us to give him more paracetamol, and that was it. His fingers are a bit swollen, but other than that, he seems to be doing pretty well.
How's he doing today? James loved his cast because he got to use the elevator and every kid in school wanted to sign it.

I just spent three days in the hospital. I had two roommates over that time. One had his left leg missing. The second one had 4 of his toes missing and was in there for them to cut the dead flesh from two more. Both situations caused by Diabetes. That would be all the motivation I would need. People don't really believe what Diabetes will do to them, Perhaps part of the Diagnosis should include a visit or a film of the ravages that it can and does cause.
Sympathy like. I hope you're feeling better and taking it easy. GWS xoxo

I’m writing a negative survey to ****’s for the first time. I’m fuming though.

Went into the store because I currently have a ton of coupons, + a $10 reward. T likes the Nike Elite shorts, I don’t like paying for them, but thought I’d check if there was a sale that I could combine with coupons and reward.

No Sale on Nike, but Under Armour was Buy 1 get 1 50% Off.. awesome right?!

I decide to hold on to my $20 off 100.. and use the $10 off $50 plus my $10 Dicks Cash.

Go to the register with 4 items.

Cashier rings up quickly, with my coupons and says- “Your total is $86”

I say “Wait, that can’t be correct. Can you show me the breakdown?”

She huffs and pulls out the tags.. I said “Yes, but they’re buy one get one 50”.
she audibly huffs again, a line is now forming, I’m embarrassed and ask if she can cancel the order and let me look at the clothes, I’ll wait for the other people in line.

She says “I already applied your coupons, you can buy it, then move over there and check your receipt then exchange something if need be.

People in line are staring at me.

I say “OK, that doesn’t sound right, but I’ll do that.”

I pay. Move over. Look at the receipt and tags.

Not one item was 50% off. I had even checked to make sure all of the racks had the sign, and that it wasn’t limited to a specific style.

Go back to the UA section, ask the girl back there, she tells me it doesn’t apply to a specific side of one rack. So.. I grab 2 items that will apply, go back to the front.. ask to exchange.

“I’m sorry, but you’ll only get the ‘return price’ after your coupons.”

Wait, WHAT??!!! You just told me to do this??
I say “I’m not trying to be difficult, but this doesn’t make sense, I told you that I wanted to halt my order, and you know that I didn’t leave the store.”

She turns her face to the register and loudly says “No, you’re not TRYING to be difficult, you ARE being difficult. There’s nothing I can do. I can exchange at this price, or you can keep what you have.”

Long story still long.. I’m furious, basically wasted all of my coupons and earned rewards. It’s $34 difference, but still.. the ONLY reason I chose those items was because I thought I would be saving an additional $34.
Sympathy like. I never pay for something at the register until everything is straightened out. From now on don't worry about the line. be polite and apologize but once the sale is done it's way harder to fix as you learned the hard way. People:facepalm:

ah coupons.

What I don't like about coupons is the restrictions on everything. It's like okay, what can I use it for then?

I like Adidas clothes but you can't use any coupons for them (at least at Kohl's) which I have a 30% off coupon.

Can't quite figure out the specifics (above) of the sale prices, coupons, etc., but what I do know is that sometimes stores create their own demons, with somewhat confusing promotions. I've seen similar types of scenarios play out at Kohls, etc., between cashiers and customers.

In the end, everyone is frustrated and there are no winners. It often results in customers walking out the door and not returning. (I've done that.) It may help to write to the headquarters about your experience.
With Dick’s Sporting Goods their coupons are great, because they’re rewards (from points).. so no exclusions. So the two $10 off coupons were true $20 off $50 or, I could use a $20 off $100 + the $10 Rewards Cash for $30 off $100 of the total bill. They can be combined with any current sale.
I’m at Dick’s at least a few times per month, and I love when I get my rewards as it really does bring the price down cheaper than anywhere else.

Example- if there a Buy One Get One Sale, and you pick 4 items.. which would equal $80 after the 50% off of two.. then you can apply the $20 on top. Which is exactly what I did/tried to do.
The sign was wrong, so 2 of the items were actually not 50% off- fair enough, but when I tried to exchange, just like she told me to- she was only willing to do the exchange at the discounted price after the coupons were applied, and “could not” use the coupon on the exchange because it had “already been used”.. which doesn’t benefit me at all.

I did do the survey, and sent a seperate email. I’ve seen that cashier several times, and I think the whole thing was rude and not caring about the customer in the slightest bit.

You’re correct. I should have just asked for a manager right then.. I felt bad for holding people up on a Saturday night, and her attitude was horrible. None of it made sense.

Lesson learned.
