Definitely not factory displacement then, as Chrysler never produced a factory 441 Hemi. :) Been bored and/or stroked.

BTW...
IIRC, all these pics are part of a countdown.
Didn't you post a pic of a ship with the number 440 (which shoulda' been a pic of a classic Dodge with a 440 Magnum - with a "Six Pack", of course - in it ;)) on the side of it a few days or so ago...?
Instead of counting down, are you counting up to something...?! :cyclops: ;)
Well done you spotted my deliberate mistake. You win a nap 😁

Disney pic time from vacation. Only a few. I know the cheetah picture is bad but it's my first time seeing the cheetahs at Disney. Was soooo happy. And the drivers only stop completely for a few seconds. I love that every time you go in Animal Kingdom, you get a different animal experience every time. (if they're not sleeping).

The bee took a few minutes to get. Buzzing around so much that I couldn't zoom, find the bee and snap a picture but it was taking near the Plaza.

Nice photos! You were lucky to get the picture of the cheetah--they hide out most of the time. I didn't see any until a few years ago and haven't seen one since--but I know they're there!! :cat: That was a fun photo of the bee, too. And I love all the flowers at F&G Festival--just gorgeous. Glad you got to experience all this, including Pandora over at AK.

I think if I had a B&N within 15 minutes, like where we used to live I would still use them.

I really like B&N, but don't go to a bookstore very often. It is within 20 minutes of where I live.

There is also a small, privately-owned bookstore in the next town. I love that little store as it has a real community feel to it and the people that work there really know a lot about books. They can also order anything you need. Every week, they also have a storytime reading for children. It's just a nice, local place that has found a niche in the neigborhood. I think it's been there for at least 30 years.

My. Heart. Is. Breaking.

My son is sobbing uncontrollably in his room. Won’t let me talk to him.
Says he’s never playing soccer again.
Wants to switch schools because he doesn’t want to see his friends.
Worst of all, he said the words “I hate myself. I’m so stupid! Why did I mess up? Why didn’t they take me? It’s because I’m STUPID.” And ran in his room.

I tried to talk to him but think it’s just better to sit in the hallway and give him a moment to cry it out. This is gut wrenching.

The email says that he was wait-listed and may still get on a team, it also said that they recognize his skills, but based on his tryout performance they just couldn’t assign him to a team directly... he is first in line, so I thought that would give him some hope, and I know that he knows he didn’t perform well at tryouts!! 4 kids are waitlisted, the rest just don’t make it.

The coach sent an email as well, said if he doesn’t end up making a team to please try out again in the Fall, and not to let T get too upset, tell him that he can work through these nerves and he will be such a great asset to a team once he does.

That email made T cry even harder.

I hate this. I truly hate this.

Poor kid. Lousey day for him, but he'll eventually get over it and move on. Disappointment is no fun for any kid, or adult for that matter.

Oh I am so terribly sorry. I know it won’t help to say what kicks you down will make you stronger. Better to leave him alone. If he is ambitious as I think he is from how you describe him, after the shock I am sure he will be determined to practice to get better.

Thanks. I thought he was better, but then he had a crying moment in his baseball game which was not like him at all.

He was pitching, 3 consecutive strike outs the first inning.
2nd inning- struck the first 2 batters out.
3rd kid gets a hit onto first base.
4th batter had 2 strikes and 2 balls, T pitches- kid hits, 1st base runner gets home, hitter finally gets tagged out on third base.

He came off the field, sat down and put his hand in his hand crying.

I asked him why after the game.. he said “someone got a run on me!! I can’t even pitch good!”

I know that’s a carry over from his soccer disappointment, he’s never been like that before. He’s been frustrated by walks, but by 1 hit in two innings? That’s not normal. This is 9U...We’re all happy when any kid throws it over the plate.lol They don’t need to pitch a no-hitter. He knows that.

How he handles this soccer thing is up to him. He may get called up, he may not. He can either give up, or keep playing if he loves it as much as he says he does, regardless of if he ends up on the team or not. We’ll see.

What's with the Funko Pop I don't get them at all. Same goes for Vynalmation I just don't get it

Yea, I don't really get it either, but, to each their own. Even when I worked at the Disney Store and had my CM discount, I never bought either. I do, however, have a few Vinylmation, as 2 fellow CM's used to collect them and gave me any doubles they had. I never asked...before they were clocked in, or after they clocked out, they would buy product (as all CM's did, as we weren't allowed to buy product while on the clock), and they would just give me their doubles.
Some of them are kinda' cool, but, just nothin' l would have ever paid for.

Oh, I get that, for sure, as he was a kiddo.
But, I was already in my mid-late 40's at the time, and those 2 products just didn't interest me, whatsoever (I probably should have qualified that in my earlier post ;))...not that there's anything wrong with that... :cyclops:
