@Cesar R M and @ajrwdwgirl , I have drafted a letter and am now assembling a group to go door to door as well as an email campaign.

I want to collect over 1000 signatures, and I’ve spoken to friends in different cities/states to do the same. Maybe it won’t make a difference, but we’re going to try. Unfortunately, I can’t use social media as a tool :(

@ajrwdwgirl , if you hear any grumbling from students/parents at your school, please let me know! I will send you my personal email or a website that I’m hoping to create in the coming days.

Grass roots campaigns can work, right? Someone has to try anyway.
Anything is better than let a simple bureaucracy ruin your son's sport growth. Specially when he seems to be very good.

Sympathy like.
Yea, if we're up to me, I'd be barefoot all the time (as I am right now). Fortunately, and as all here are more than well aware of, I have no problem with flip flops whatsoever, and would wear them all the time I needed just some sole protection ;), but, I also realize the inappropriateness of them in many situations...but, LONG LIVE FLIP FLOPS.....!!!!!!! :hilarious:
I wore a nice dress and flip flops into a signature. The flip flops were sequined ;)

THNX I'm on top of a mountain so unless some dude named Noah is going around gathering animals 2 by 2 I'm fine. My inlaws have a lake on their lawn but no water in the basement phew. I'm worried about @StarWarsGirl I saw Baltimore area got hit hard.
Everything's good where I am. We live up on a hill and don't usually get hit. I honestly had a migraine at the time and slept through it. My parents were out at the time and said, "Well did the stream form in the backyard?" and I was like...

I woke up a couple of times to some thunder which was very loud, but just checked that the trees weren't swaying outside and went back to sleep.

The governor declared a state of emergency so the areas hardest hit could call in the resources they need, but most of the damage was further southwest of us.

Thank you. At first my rage was because of the impact on my own son, but then I started to really think about it..
let’s say that T bombs at tryouts for his select team this week, and doesn’t receive an offer for the Fall season.. he would have the option to play with the club’s rec league. Less training requirements, no travel, different uniforms, only 2 jerseys required, cheaper than select., but still several hundred dollars and a 45-60 minute drive depending on traffic. The training would still be above the SAY level.
I can afford to put him in that, I would be willing to make the drive.. BUT- what about all of the kids who have parents who couldn’t afford it, or who can’t make a trip 2 hour round trip drive 3 days per week.. Pay for Play is a huge problem in the USA.. there are more kids who are good at soccer than just the ones who’s parents can afford the ridiculous fees of travel soccer. The price didn’t used to be as it is now, the training and obnoxious uniform requirements weren’t the same either.

S.A.Y soccer is the “less pressure” “affordable” “play with your classmates and close to your home option”... but still a soccer progression organization, if kids are being held back, then they will never have the same shot that the Club kids will have, it’s been a huge gap for quite some time.. but at least they had somewhat of a chance before this Birth Year implementation.

Professional soccer in the USA is bad enough.. why would they possibly want to make it worse.. why would they want to reduce their talent pool even more than what it is now?

I just seen that EUROPE park had a catastrophic fire, which burned an entire area, including their pirates attraction.

There are some twitter images and videos, the fire is spectacular on size..

Good luck! I probably won’t hear anything in my parts our youth sports is run by our local group and is based on grade levels. But I’ll keep an ear out.

Can I go back to Florida? Came in last night

Welcome home and glad you had a safe return. What would you say was the highlight of your trip? (Oh, did you go on FOP, by the way?) I liked all the artistic theme throughout Pandora. It was hard to take pictures, because there was so much in terms of height, that my small phone could not capture in the lens. I posted one below, and then the headshot in the Pandora gift shop, after I came off FOP.

I just spent so much money on stuff for my bathroom. :greedy:

But I'm obsessed with some of it.

We're not redoing anything too major. It's basically getting a new towel rack and a fresh coat of paint (on my parents) and then new accessories (on me). The paint really needs to be done, though. It's chipping.

The walls are going to be grey green, so all the accessories are basically on the black/white/silver (mostly silver) color pallet.

Now for the highlights...

From Bed Bath and Beyond...
A toothbrush holder and soap dish

And because I'll never actually be fully an adult, bathmats...

And now from Amazon, who already gets too much of my money.

A toilet brush, because there isn't currently one in my bathroom, and I never thought I could be this obsessed with one...

A tissue box cover, because I'm pretty sure the one I have is older than I am (also, check out that price)

Adhesives at the bottom of the tub, because we used to have Mickey at the bottom, and all of them have worn away over the 17 years since we put them there, and I'm terrified I'm going to fall and go to the eR, and have to put as the reason "Lack of adhesive ducks" (or flowers now in my case)

This, the only thing not a neutral color, which will be a hamper, because there used to be one in there, and there hasn't been for over a year (the other one broke) and it's driving me bonkers.
Screenshot_2018-05-28-16-29-01.png

And then this magnifying mirror, which I'm already obsessed with...
