Thanks a lot... that means a lot especially coming from the other side of the pond. :) But, this weekend is not my weekend. Veterans Day is the one for those of us that survived. It is for those that didn't ever make it home, in any war you wish to remember. I just hope and hope and hope that the reckless actions of some don't make their sacrifice nothing more then just a complete waste of young lives.

I’m going to throw caution to the wind and post the football photos of T when in Kindergarten..

Practice.. look how big the shoulder pads were on him 😂

He was #20.. definitely the shrimp on the team!! The kid behind him isn’t even wearing a Helmet, and still so much bigger than T, with his helmet on. That’s who ended up laying him out.
This was before a growth spurt the next year..

...but he never gave up.

Did you watch the Champions League final last night?
Funniest part of the game- a fan charging the field, obstructing Ronaldo’s run., and the announcer says “It’s a group effort to avoid a shirtless Ronaldo tonight” 😂😂

Gareth Bale was definitely the Star!!!

Wasn't happy with the huge errors of Liverpool. They were dumb. The Goalkeeper error reminded me of the huge Gerrard gaffe that cost them the title.

Also Ramos should have been yellow carded by his dirty foul that got Salah out.
I seen referee bias a few times during the match. Linesmen bias as well.

Otherwise the match was good I guess. I didn't see the full match as I was out of home.

@Gabe1 , at Wolfgang Puck's Express (Marketplace). You and I have both had the chicken there over the years. This time I tried the bacon wrapped meatloaf, with mashed herb potatoes and onion rings.

YUM CITY!!!! :hungry::hungry::hungry: I wished I had not been so eager to dive into it, (cavewoman style . . . :hilarious: ) but that bacon and beef were calling my name. So I only got a photo of it after I had already eaten about half of it.

One of my FB friends is complaining about the Han Solo movie on FB and how Disney is ruining Star Wars.

He hasn't seen the movie.

Same friend also lives in FL and goes to WDW on a regular basis and will probably be all over Galaxy's Edge when it opens, yet we shouldn't be giving any more money to this company (that was his post).

A lot of people are irrational like this. Probably he loved the "old look" of Harrison Ford.

I honestly havent seen it and I am not interested. Actor charm is very important for a movie.

See how despite the general movie being good.. Valerian and the Thousand planets tanked. While the Fifth Element got critical acclaim.
Actors like Bruce Willis, Harrison Ford, Tom Cruise, Denzel Washington when casted right. create this attraction and chemistry that makes you hooked to the movie. I didn't feel anything like that with this new actor.

Will have to see the full movie next week to get a proper opinion.

Like you I was caught up in the Vietnam war and it took many years before I could visit the wall and see names I knew. The best we can do to honor those who did not return is live our lives and remember our brothers in arms and not just on Memorial Day. It does make me sad to see how commercilized Memorial Day has become and few people seem to know the true meaning. Unfortunately wars are fought by the young run by the old and forgotten by the many

Seems like all holidays are commercialized, unfortunately. But I will say that on Memorial Day itself, at least where I live, there is always a parade to honor all military -- active military, and veterans as well.

Yesterday, there was a Marine veteran doing some fund-raising outside of a local supermarket. From what I could see, everyone (including me) put a donation in the box on the table. People do care, and maybe we don't express that sentiment enough, but it is there; and I want you and all active and retired veterans to know that.

I think it was only partially that, and if it we're just that, I could maybe see it because I was iffy on the actor myself, but all out boycotting it?

He hated TLJ and so now he's complaining about how Disney is "ruining" Star Wars. Um...okay. So you didn't like TLJ. Most fans liked FA and Rogue One, not to mention Disney's done a lot with filling in plot holes (like, "How did that vent get there on the Death Star?" It was designed with a flaw. "Why did no one find it?" If you read Lost Stars, someone did, but she was ignored). And let's face it, every SW movie Disney has done is still way better than the prequels.

I just can't stand it when people are hypocritical like that. Like, "Don't give them your money!" And then they turn around and give them their money.

I think I predicted this among SW fans in general when Disney bought SW. They would complain about the movie being made, go see it, buy a bunch of gear, making Disney very rich...and then still complain.
