I brought my own laptop to work because I had to work on some large Excel files and my work laptop was having none of it.

I've been using it all day. It's used just over half its battery.

I officially love this laptop.

And I was wise to get it when I did because Best Buy is out of this particular model. They have one up, which I didn't want to pay so much for, and then they had other versions that weren't quite as powerful and were smaller (I prefer a 15 inch screen).

Was going to go out for a walk.

I checked the weather, and there's an air quality alert out.

I guess not...
Ugh! Pollen is bad here and keeping me stuffy. But, I am just ignoring it and take my allergy and asthma meds and go on.
Sympathy like. My allergies seemed to have mostly gone away
shortly after going vegan

I love my children and won't make them walk around in their undies. Long story short James needs shorts. 2 pairs down and many to go. I had hoped once he hit the men's department clothes would fir a bit longer. Guess my me projects are going on the back burner for a while:(
Sympathy like. I am sure James appreciates that you won't make him walk around in his underwear.;)

Yes, not cold anymore, but... The storms last night that came through dumped a LOT of rain. DH had to drive to Madison, WI for a training. At 7 PM, you couldn't see outside, it was coming down so hard, and the wind was whipping. So, I made him sit for a bit. He finally made it there, but told me for at least a half hour (of what is normally just under 2 hour drive) 30 MPH with the flashers. There were quite a few people pulled to the side, but the rest braved it.

And because of the storms, I didn't make it to DS's concert last night. And that was ok. Didn't make it back from DD's Tues. night concert/reception until 11PM. And it was still going when we left.

Sun is finally peaking out, but we are supposed to get hit hard again tonight. Not sure if I will make it to DS's performance tonight, either.

I heard that storm near Madison was really bad. A friend of mine lives in Janesville which is south of Madison and they had significant hail damage. She posted pictures of huge rips in the siding on her house and the hail blanketed her yard with some even sticking around this morning. I feel really bad for her, the house will need to be completely re-sided. Sure insurance will probably cover it, but it just a big hassle.

I inherited the allergies from my dad's side of the family and the asthma from my mom's.

Meanwhile, my brother has neither. :cautious:
I know how Asthma and Allergies are. I've been taking allergy shots every 28 days for many years. I have to take medication for my asthma because if I don't, I would be getting inflammation of the lungs. This time of the year in the past did a number on me.
