I will be hitting that store for sure! The camper rental company did say that they have juicers in some campers. I will email them and find out. I love my carrot, celery, ginger, apple juice. :hungry: I do throw kale and spinach into it too sometimes. Sorry @MinnieM123 and @Mr Ferret 88. Hope that doesn't give you nightmares.;)
So long as i don't have to drink it then whatever works best for you.

I’m just going to put this here, don’t want to start a theological conversation.. Just sharing how my kid overthinks everything, and sometimes I feel like I don’t have adequate answers for him. :cautious:

That kind of critical thinking should be celebrated. Here in the corporate world, what separates the people I want on my team from the people I don't want on my team, is that the people I want question everything. Fuel that curiosity and encourage him to ask questions, and he'll go far once he hits the business world.

As a parent, one thing that REALLY works for me though is that instead of answering his questions, try asking him what he thinks the answer is. So... why are there QR codes on boxes from Santa? Why do you think they're there, T?

Some things, like the Christmas presents, he does have an explanation before even asking me.. we were in the car several weeks ago and he told his friend that Santa takes his sled and raids Toys R Us while they’re closed.
I had to tell him that it doesn’t happen. So he asked me how Santa has money.

Unfortunately/fortunately he’s at an age where he wants to know all of the answers in detail, simple info or his own opinion is no longer good enough for him. If he’s not satisfied with my answer, then he’ll turn to Siri, then back to me, and then sometimes request the library.

When he was around 3-4 the questions used to be like “who built this road? Why did they make it curvy instead of straight?” “Who built that house? Why does one house have two stories and the other have one? What are the names of the people who built it?” “Why is there a circle window?”
And one of my favorite random questions from him at that age- “Who invented underwear? Why did they invent it?”

If he asks those questions to his teachers in Catholic school, then his teachers must love him. My whole thing with religion is you need to have Faith to believe in God. It is very personal for everyone. I think you just say that no one really knows. We can't know everything and there is no answer for everything.

This is what I tried to say. It was not acceptable, he can’t/doesn’t want to grasp that some things do not have an answer, they’re just belief. Went on for about 30 minutes.. and then finally I said “Just go to sleep, please. It’s very late. You can ask your religion teacher tomorrow.” :hilarious:

Did you drive your car out on the beach? I always thought that was the coolest thing that they do down in Daytona. :joyfull: Saw it for myself about 15 years ago. I'm from the North, so southern beach traditions are fascinating to me!
Yes we did! We used to go every summer when our DD was little. She loves the beach! Daytona was always a lot of fun. We always stop by when we head home from Disney.

We're in that stage, LOL.

Why is it light outside? Why can't I see any stars? The sun is a star??? Why is the sun warm? What is the sun made from? If the sun is gas, can we capture it and feed all the hungry cars??? (Cars eat gas when they're hungry)

Ha ha! Perfect!
When T was around that age he randomly said “A car engine is a brain.”
What?
“It’s like our brains, it controls the car and has many different jobs to do. They should have just name it Brain instead of Engine. Why did they name it an engine?”

It really is great that kids think so much.. I love curiosity and critical thinking and empathy when it’s about people..sometimes though, I wish he could accept the first 3 answers. Once I was running late dropping him off to preschool, he started on his house stuff again- I said “Bob the Builder built it”
“MOMMY! BOB the BUILDER is a CARTOON! He’s not REAL! I want to know the name of the REAL person.”

Ok T, his name is Jim. Look we’ve arrived, hurry up.

“What’s his last name? I don’t want to get out until I know his full name.”
:banghead::banghead::banghead:

But yet.. around that same timeframe, the kid asked me to go get money out of the machine that gives out free twenty dollar bills, without questioning it.:hilarious:

Critical thought about everything else, but kids ALWAYS seem to think money grows on trees :hilarious::hilarious:

My sister’s babysitter is still out of town, so I have her kids for an hour.. my mom just called me and said that my sister was in a wreck but not to tell the kids.
No details.. brother-in-law called my mom and told her that sis called him and said “I wrecked I’m calling 911.” and hung up without saying anything else.

I’m guessing that she is ok. Hopefully it’s not bad. She literally just bought her new Pilot a day before their Disney/Florida trip. :(

Now I want to know the answer to all those ...

I'm working on a way to show her how the earth is round and casts a shadow over the moon right now. I think that's going to be my mom project for the weekend. She keeps talking about how the moon is broken whenever it's a crescent moon, and I've shown her in books but she still isn't getting that the sun doesn't disappear and the moon isn't broken. Maybe it's beyond her understanding right now, but I'm at least going to try showing her with maybe a ball and a flashlight.

Air bags deployed, but she says she’s fine, she declined the ambulance. Luckily(?) the wreck happened as she was pulling into work- a hospital, and she is surrounded by several hospitals in that area.
My mom spoke quickly and just said she’s driving to meet her now. Thankfully it sounds good physically? Not so good for the Pilot though. I hope for her that it isn’t totaled. The airbag deployment doesn’t sound promising.

Not necessary, and almost a feeling of let down after it’s all over with. At least that’s how I felt afterwards.. not let down by the event itself, but more of ‘this is so strange not to be planning a wedding now.”

I can’t believe your friend was the same person who gave such great advice! It really was a great thing to say to you.. how could she turn into such a hateful jealous person?!
I hope she is not in your life in any capacity now.

I’ve never heard of bridesmaids choosing their own dresses!!! That would be a “HE## NO!” from me.
I took into account all of my bridesmaids body types and complexions, and I did give my maid of honor a couple of choices, I wanted them all to be happy..but they also had to fit into my vision of that day. Luckily they all loved their gowns, but I would have kicked one out of my wedding and my life if they asked to go in a completely different direction. Mind boggling that anyone would have the audacity to do such a thing.

I’m so sorry that you had to deal with that during one of the should-be happiest stages of your life. Sounds like you were better off in the end though. :)

Funny thing about people, they appear perfect and loving, until one specific day -they’re not. One offense can ruin a relationship if that offense is bad enough. I’ve handed out a Red Card to a few people (now formerly) in my life. Sometimes you have no other choice, no matter how “important” that person is.
All of my bridesmaids got to pick their own dress style. I had them all made by the same seamstress, so all the same material of a navy blue. Came out great, and everyone loved their dress. Only rule, they all had to be long.

I brought mine along as well and we altogether decided on a dress. They were nice and flowy which was great since the wedding was in July. They also chose a different pastel color of the same dress. They were really pretty.:)
And that was what my Mom did. Same dress, pick your pastel color. I always loved the pictures when I was little. I guess I figured she did different color, same dress, so I did different dress same color.

Glad to hear she walked away. While it isn't fun to deal with when the car is brand new, better the car be totaled, than her.

Yeah they just came and got the kids from me. Apparently someone ran a red light as she was making a left turn, hit the passenger side, not the front. She fine, just some muscle soreness. The car definitely won’t be totaled being so new and only the one side of air bag deployment. At the same time, thankful that it wasn’t worse and that the kids were not in the back seat.
The woman tried to deny it, luckily witnesses were there to tell the police what happened. All parties walked away without physical harm.
People are so stupid sometimes. I’m hoping that the woman learned a lesson and will never run a red light again.

Oh goodness! Why do people not pay attention when they drive?! I get so mad every time I get out because I see stupid driving. Glad that she is ok. Accidents shake you up.

Yep. That is where Faith comes into play. Not everyone has the ability to just let things go. Maybe his religion teacher will have an answer. I bet that has been asked before.
