To report the recent status of my quest for a Reuben I have found another source. This proves that when bad things happen it can sometimes lead to better things. My son in law, recommended a place called McAlister's Deli. It is a chain that for some reason I had never heard of. Not only do they have Reuben's, but, they are so much better then Cracker Barrels ever were, bigger, Kraut much fresher and as a double special bonus it is only about 3 miles from my place and it is cheaper then CB. Multiple score. The place was hidden in a new shopping area and I had never seen it before. Learn something new everyday.

Yayyyy. Mission accomplished. We have those here too. I love their food!!

Not to mention Buffon has really no reason to complain. The Third goal of Juventus could easily be classified as a foul and thus not count.

Buffon is just frustrated that his teammate flunked up his last chance to get a title in his lifetime.

Yeah it was an incredibly stupid penalty, my son is thrilled it happened.. but it was stupid none the less.

I understand Buffon’s frustration, but he’s been playing this game way too long to end his Champions League career in flames over losing his temper on a ref.
Was sad to watch.

And omg.. I felt so bad for the backup goal keeper!

Ronaldo’s shirtless flexing was priceless though.

Good Morning! And if you don't want to read the following rant, please feel free to skip ahead.


Today's project is to try and speak with DD's guidance counselor. You see, when she met with him for class registration for next year, he was more worried about peer pressure, depression, etc. then what classes she should be taking to meet her future goals. One of those future goals is to graduate High School. When the GC, meets with a freshman, who presents him with a schedule with a class she isn't sure about, I would think that would be a good time to have a short discussion, or suggest an office visit at a better time. At the very least, if you don't see the state mandated Health class she needs to graduate high school on her schedule, you ask when she plans to take it. Not these are fine, and a long lecture about how she can see him about anything, next!

She does plan on applying to very competitive colleges, and as a result, doesn't have the academic time during the regular school year. And, I don't want someone to finally figure out she is short this class right before graduation.

Did I mention this guy insists we call him Dr., and was apparently a Driver's Ed teacher before this gig?

This is horrible. I would go to guidance counselor first, and then the principal. Completely unacceptable!!

This kid is not even getting half of what he asked for.. but I’m not spending several hundreds of dollars on 3 jereseys/shorts and warmups!!

I don't buy Necco wafers often, but, I do love them, especially the just chocolate ones. (my personal Favorites) I noticed recently that I don't see them around much anymore... now I know why. Yet another thing gone because my personal tastes don't correspond with the rest of the public. It's amazing how often that happens. I would like to go on record right now in expressing my shock over how so many of the public can be so incredibly wrong. But, I suppose in light of a lot of recent happenings, I shouldn't be surprised.

I mean, calm down Ronaldo, it was a DAMN PENALTY, one that you didn't even received.

He also gets easy tap ins that his teammates work insane for.. and he brags everything and hardly thanks the teammates.

And sometimes gets annoyed if his teammates gets goals and he doesn't. baffling.

As for Buffon.. I'm pretty sure that Zidane got a flashback of his last game.

YEA!!! For leftovers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I read Cinder yesterday and now I have to get back to the library for more reading material for the weekend. I put the rest of the series on hold THNX @StarWarsGirl I think BTW for the first couple of chapters I was thinking phage?

Yeah, the first few chapters I was like, "Um, what am I reading?" But you do have to read the rest because the twists and the other characters are just SO awesome. The first one is actually my least favorite of the series. You just have to get past the initial "wow, this is weird" factor.

Here’s my thoughts on him-

Maradona is my favorite player of all time. Messi is my favorite player currently.. I think Ronaldo is better than both of them. I actually think he may end up as the greatest footballer ever by the time his career is over.
Watching him throughout his career though, he’s become more cocky every single year.. on the field and in interviews. Sometimes I’m put off by it, but then I think that maybe that cockiness & belief that he is the best, is what helps him be what he is.. even when people say he’s losing it.

My kid, and by forcible extension- me, have watched countless interviews on YouTube.. to say that T idolizes him is almost an understatement... T has requested his own work out plan based on Ronaldo’s (and son’s) workouts.. T’s biggest hinderance is his confidence and physical wise his flexibility. He’s tall, he’s fast, he has good ball skills.. but his lack of flexibility and lack of core strength will hinder him. I’m not concerned about it at this age, and I’ve never said this to him, he figured it by watching/listening to Ronaldo and wanting to be like him. Now he’s working on both.

That said, T also practices Ronaldo’s post goal antics.. the Knee Slide, the Tearing Off Shirt and Flexing, and the Jumping Up Arms Down Mouth Roaring. I’ve told him that if I ever see him do any of the above in a practice or a game -Then he will never play soccer again. That’s the only thing that I don’t like, but really it’s similar to the End Zone Celebrations in American football.

p.s. I still don’t understand how my son and I are fans of different teams. . He’s almost forcing me to like Real Madrid now that I have no choice but to watch all of their games.lol. He does enjoy watching FC Barcelona with me as well though, and he does like Messi..which is at least a good thing for me. It could be worse, he may have not been a La Liga fan at all.. but I don’t think I would have allowed that in my house anyway.

for all soccer fans here.. or those who may have soccer kids,. This is T’s favorite video a portion of it.. there’s a longer one that he watches.. I think there was a point in time when he watched it every day. Ha ha.

@MouseDreaming Did you have the meeting? What happened? I’m so anxious to hear.
You may already know this, but make sure she has extracurricular activities and volunteer work as well. It’s the GC’s JOB to help tell a student what is needed for a competitive college, and assist them in coming up with a 4 year plan to make sure they have the necessary requirements as well as advantages.

That company makes Clark Bars, which along with Zagnut, are my favorite candy bars and I can't find them unless I go to a specialty candy store.
