Sounds like you probably needed some downtime, not a bad thing. Maybe to make it up to him though make a big deal about his badges and post to all your friends on FB or something.

Good idea! I told him that I’ll take him for a celebratory dinner, anywhere he wants to eat. Maybe I’ll sneak and ask the server to just mention/ask about cub scouts.

Thank you, really.

Here’s something new (at least to my knowledge) at Hollywood Studios! Was Rey there on your last visit? We didn’t see her in November.

Apparently a family gets chosen to “guard” the Launch Bay doors during the march.. one of the CMs announce their names and that they are going to ‘protect and guard’.

Then Kylo Ren came to challenge them..

Then Rey came up and told them what a good job they did, and asked my niece about her magic band..View attachment 276797

After that, the CM gives them FPs for the characters. Super cool!
2 more..

Niece trying to hug BB8:hilarious:

And this one... their faces! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

That is so neat! Haven’t been to DHS in at least 2 years. The last picture is my favorite. Love the look on their faces.

I've thought about. Maybe I will get some for hubby's birthday present. That way he can cook them and I can benefit from it too!:D

That's exactly what the in-laws do. If it's his mother's birthday, we send her a box of them, and she cooks and shares with her hubs. When it's his birthday, we also send a box of steaks--and she still ends up cooking for both of them (but also gets a yummy steak for herself!)

The sale is really generated by FALKEN and should be available at all Pep Boy locations, regardless of the quality of the sales manager.

I get that. But, again, first impressions.
After my experience, I don't even wanna' take the time to stop by one of their locations to purchase so much as a cheap- plastic funnel. Enough other places near us where I've had better experiences.
JMO. Others mileage may vary...! ;)

I was having trouble with my CD player in my car so I brought it to the dealer for warranty work. I have been getting all my regular servicing done by a garage very close to where I live and they do a good job. While I was there I asked them how much they charged for an oil change. With a straight face they told me $80.00. Just about twice what my present garage charges. It uses synthetic oil and they use a very good quality brand. He told me that VW demands a specific chemical make up synthetic oil and rattled off a bunch of numbers that I knew were bogus and meant nothing. I am going to continue using my garage where I can get the oil changed twice for that price. That is the reason why I never use the dealer for anything other then warranty stuff.

Yep, I too would continue to take it to your regular garage.
Surprised he didn't come up with some stupid carp like the potential of the chemical blend at your regular garage being slightly different than theirs, thus voiding your warranty.

OK my friend. I don't work for them. I don't know anyone who works for them. I don't want to seem like I am pushing them on anyone. It's really ok :) if you never ever go there..... even to use the restroom.

I'll tell you a tire that Mavis Discount Tires offered me that I never heard of.........."Antares Comfort"
The specific tire for my car was "Antares Comfort A5".....which only seems to be offered by that chain. Reviewers on their own company's website gave it 3 stars out of 5. The low marks showed up especially when reviewers considered the traction on ice and on snow.
It would be NICE if NJ was DONE with ice and snow until next winter ;):D

The Antares Comfort tire is one I've never heard of.
And, fortunately we don't have much need for traction on ice and snow down 'round these parts...! ;)

The day before while I was setting up the appointment to check out the CD player and schedule a state safety inspection he looked at the records and noticed that the only thing they had done to the car was a tire rotation and this. I told him I had a garage within a mile from my apartment that I use. Also that I have all the receipts for the oil changes, etc. that I had done there. He said, "you are using Synthetic Oil aren't you?" I said, of course, do you think I just fell off the hay wagon or something? He never mentioned anything about the "different blend" that VW specifies at that time.

The next time while I was wasting time waiting for them to put the radio back in, I asked how much they charged for an oil change. He told me $80. and I must have looked a little faint, because he immediately told me about the special VW suggested oil. I pay less then $40. for an oil change with a very high quality synthetic oil. But, he didn't say it would void the warranty even though he sounded concerned. I have another 17 months on the lease with a 30K mileage limitation that I should be able to hit easily. So, I'm not worried about it. At my age, if they messed with me I would just stop paying the lease, I don't really need a credit rating anymore. I have the cash that I could buy a car if I had to. I'm sure it will never come to that.

Until 7 years ago I lived in Vermont. Once all season tires were available I never bought another snow/winter tire again and never needed them. With front wheel drive I went through snow that you wouldn't believe. When in the public busing business you didn't have a snow day. You had to get there no matter the road conditions. Never had a problem never did a seasonal change, just normal rotation when I remembered to do it.

That is freezing and rough for baseball. At least in soccer the kids are runnimg around. There is a lot of standing around in baseball. Hope they do well though. :) I know they haven’t practiced much.

I've never played baseball in cold weather, but, soccer many times.
Back in HS we played most of our games in Zilker Park across Lady Bird Lake (back then Town Lake) just south of downtown. We had this one ref who always wore a coupla' pairs of pantyhose in cold weather. He claimed they gave him enough layering against the cold, but, much more mobility than sweats. Never questioned it, never tried, never researched it, but, that's what he claimed.

Do. I need to be up already? Got woken up at 3:47am by some loud people talking in the hallway. Tried to go back to sleep but couldn’t of course. Oh well. I am just the driver. Anyway I put on the Weather Channel before we went to sleep hoping to catch a weather report, but of course it was a strange weather show that was being broadcast. I wanted to change it but dd said, “No, I love science.” All of a sudden the show turns to sink holes and the video is of houses suddenly falling and crumbling. The announcer says Florida is the world’s sinkhole capital. I knew that already, but the 7 year old science lover who made me keep it on says, “I don’t want to move to Florida anymore.”:cautious:

:hilarious:  :hilarious: ;) :)
