If you are near retirement it is definitely scary. But if you still have a couple of decades to go it is just another bump. I think politics plays into it a lot. The Market is not for the squeamish for sure. I do have my Disney stock though. :p
When companies mess up with your retirement definitively its something to fear.
MY country is currently under a very strong scam involving politicians and bankers.. who want to build a PRIVATE airport with the money of retirement of millions of citizens.

Why is Sci- Fi so difficult to get a reservation for. I tried to change times and nothing is available, meanwhile I can easily get a reservation for The Boathouse for lunch. The only reason I wanted to eat there is for a chance to see TSL(hoping the walls would be down at least for a good glimpse), since we won't be back until next year.
Well.. the boathouse is like.. 5 times more expensive and has clothing restrictions (plus out of the park?)?

The presenter guy got back on track and now he is trying to show us a website and doesn't seem to know how it works.
No surprise at this point, a lot of "conferences" are done by show men or.. well, representatives/actors/presenters than actual professionals.
Others could be even worse.. aka vendors only hired to try to sell their product onto others.

The Boathouse doesn't have any clothing restrictions that I know, except you have to wear some. Saw plenty of people in very casual/theme park clothes. The Edison has a dress code.

The price on some things isn't that far apart either. I priced out BBQ burgers for both restaurants and Boathouse was $2 more.

He is a retired teacher and used some of the sites in his classroom. But he moves a little slow through things. There is some good info though.

Saw more sandwich talk back there...

We have Firehouse and Jersey Mike's, but, haven't tried either, yet. We also have Jimmy John's. I, generally, like JJ and the bread is great. But, they use lettuce as wayyyyy too much of a filler IMHO. The last time (and I mean the last time...haven't been back since) I ordered a roast beef with everything else except lettuce just to compare...paltryist sub I've ever seen. If I ever wanna' order a lettuce sub I know where to go...and, indeed, it'll be the fastest lettuce sub delivery ever...! ;)

We also have at least two awesome homegrown sub shops that we absolutely love...Thundercloud Subs and Delaware Sub Shop.
The whole wheat bread at TS is so good, and they have their "Thunder Sauce" that is just sooo very good with an extra little kick to it.
DSS bread has a slightly crisp crust, but, the inside is amazingly soft and scrumptious. It's own awesomeness...! :hungry:
They also make really good cheesesteak sandwiches, and a killer Italian sub with their own sliced pickled peppers, that are just sooo an incredibly perfect sweet and sour combination...!!!!! :hungry:
Funny you bring up the lettuce. Last time I picked up Jimmy John's it was all lettuce, not much else. Jersey Mikes has better bread, better roast beef, better all around.:hungry: I just wished they delivered.

As for delivery, I have had my run ins at school with their drivers. You see, due to a bad design, you actually have to cross the kids from the building to the play areas. Across the parking lot/ driveway. Where the insane fast delivery guys are in such a hurry, they routinely blow the stop sign.

And, most of those deliveries are for students. A lot of parents have them on speed dial if they didn't have lunch stuff on hand, or the kid forgot to bring lunch.

I never had it. I don’t like bananas. Maybe if they used berries. :hungry:
Oh. My. Gosh. I have found my kin. I also HATE BANANAS! Can't stand 'em.

Curious though..... do all the banana haters also like the smell of skunk (we had this conversation like.... six months ago and I don't remember who all said they liked it)

K B Toys seems familiar.
I knew that our local Sears store in Ocean County Mall was having a "store closing sale" but I only learned just today that the K-Mart in my town is doing the exact same thing.
Driving past vacant stores can be a downer. :(
Good afternoon @MouseDreaming
Seems you are working your way toward current day? You just gave me a 'like" from 6 days ago :)
Happy thread skimming!

Good news kids.....we've been dog sitting my sister's 3 dogs since we came back from WDW. So since the 17th. It has been terrible, as usual, they peed somewhere every day (at least once). But my brother-in-law just left with them!!!!!!!!!!!!:joyfull:

Even better our new couches had been delivered on Tuesday but we didn't dare unwrap them until the urinating dogs left. So once my bro-in-law took the dogs out the to car he came back in and helped us set them up. They are so beautiful and comfy. I'm sitting on one right now. Kapono doesn't really know what to think, she will sit on my lap but not on the couch. We'll see how fast she overcomes that, I bet when I come home from Good Friday service in a little bit she'll be on it looking out the window!

By the way we kept the wrapping (actually huge plastic bags) that the couches arrived in and when the urinators come over again we can easily slip the covers on.

Here are the beauties. Love seat and sofa!
