So I just had to share....DS was at chess tonight and saw 2 boys picking on a girl and tried to break it up and ended up getting hit. He was VERY upset and did not want to talk about it, and he's a bit scared that he's going to get bullied at chess now and he doesn't want to have to quit chess, but I think it was super brave of him, considering everything he's been through. To see someone getting bullied and to stand up for them took so much courage for him. The instructor saw and broke it up and had them all talk it out, and it wasn't directed at DS in any way, he just got mixed up in it when he tried to stop them, so I don't think he's going to get bullied there. I just feel so bad that it happened and brought everything back, when he has been doing so so well. I hope chess can still feel like a safe place. But I'm so proud of him.
That was super brave of him, and considering what he'd been through, that is totally awesome! I would be super proud as well. :)

I've posted this before, but, funny story about that buffet...
On oldest DD and SonILs DCL honeymoon cruise they started heading to the Castaway Cay buffet that particular day. They saw some people going a certain way so they followed them. They got there, got in line for the buffet , and then joined a table. After a little small talk they started to feel things weren't quite right. Finally, someone at the table asked them where they worked on the ship... :cyclops:
Yep, somehow they ended up lunching in the CM area...!!!!! :joyfull:
IIRC, they were allowed to finish their plates and then took a cart back to the guest areas...!!! :hilarious:
That is hysterical!!!:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

Which the sales guy, who was only six years older than me (why do I get the feeling the dealerships are pairing me with young sales guys on purpose?)

This made me laugh. Don't you just love it when it (at least appears . . . ) that the sales people "size up" the potential customers when they walk in the door?

Quite a few years ago, I recall hubs and I went to a car dealership and we were in the market for a new car. A salesman came up to us right away, and made a big deal about a bunch of good, used cars they just got in that weekend. Um, :confused: . . . we hadn't asked about anything . . . we had just walked in the door . . .

I then noticed a middle aged couple walk in the door and another salesman immediately directed their attention to some new Fords in the showroom. So I looked at hubs and said, "Let's go." Our salesman's jaw dropped, and we walked out the door (and went to another dealership, which was better). Hubs knows that when I say, "let's go" there's no changing my mind! :hilarious:

Awww...
Hahaaa...! Don't blink...!!!
Our 3 "little tiny babies" are already 23, 25, and 26...!!!!! :joyfull::happy:
My 2 "little tiny babies" are already 42 and 44. Now let me make it clear that it means nothing more then I am older then dirt. It also means that I have been doing this fatherhood thing now for 44 years and the only end in sight is when I decide that it's time to go. No vacation time, nothing more then partial retirement and more benefits then one can imagine. All and all (or possibly 'all in all') a pretty good gig that I would start at the beginning if I could. No regrets!
If I could find a way to get at least a little financial positive instead of mind numbing expense, I would go for that.

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope everyone is feeling okay today... @donaldtoo hope the finger is doing better, @figmentfan423 hope you are feeling better and rested, and @StarWarsGirl I hope you are feeling better too.

Today was a bagel run for the dog and I. She was pretty mellow until I stopped at the bagel place then when she saw the bag she got super excited. I think I have spoiled this little schnauzer....

So, my mother wants to try Carnival going out of Galveston.

Any recommendation on ships? (for Caribbean).

They preferred this one against the Royal Caribbean because of the price.. And we had a friend who swear he had better service and food at Carnival than Royal or even Disney.

and I'm currently watching the Carnival Vista
The Vista is awesome. My best friends have been on it twice. It has an IMAX theater.
