It's Friday. My husband comes home from an insanely long business trip tomorrow. We also have Disney on Ice tickets for tomorrow. And this weekend I'm sure will fly by and then it will be February :jawdrop:

February is my daughter's birthday month. My little tiny baby is turning three :cry:
I remembered seeing that once and also missed it once. The one I saw many years ago was very good.

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope everyone is feeling okay today... @donaldtoo hope the finger is doing better, @figmentfan423 hope you are feeling better and rested, and @StarWarsGirl I hope you are feeling better too.

Today was a bagel run for the dog and I. She was pretty mellow until I stopped at the bagel place then when she saw the bag she got super excited. I think I have spoiled this little schnauzer....

Thanks!
Better, but, still splinted. Will take a look at it tomorrow morning.

How is your DH doing?
Much better, I hope!

Cute about Kapono, although she didn't hafta' steal hers...!

My 2 "little tiny babies" are already 42 and 44. Now let me make it clear that it means nothing more then I am older then dirt. It also means that I have been doing this fatherhood thing now for 44 years and the only end in sight is when I decide that it's time to go. No vacation time, nothing more then partial retirement and more benefits then one can imagine. All and all (or possibly 'all in all') a pretty good gig that I would start at the beginning if I could. No regrets!
If I could find a way to get at least a little financial positive instead of mind numbing expense, I would go for that.

Woof! Hope ya' didn't blink too much! 😉
No regrets whatsoever about who I'm married to and the children we have, but, their are some things we would do differently. Ya' know, hindsight being 20/20, and all.

One of the most interesting things about parenthood, to me anyway, has been the dynamic of our relationships as they have grown from helpless babes well into adulthood, and how it has changed, but, yet, has remained the same in many ways over the years. They have ever only known us as adults (chronologically, anyway 😉), but, we've known them all their lives, from tiny human to full-on adult.
Bottom line, it was, and fortunately, continues to be an adventure I would never trade for anything. EVER...!!!!!!!!!!! :joyfull::happy:

THNX I'm on the mend just a bit wiped out now. I'm thinking that may be because I was the least dead person yesterday that could teach a HIIT class.

Forgot what else I did today: during my lunch break, I test drove two Buicks, the Encore and the Regal. My mother (who is in fact the best) let me have her car for the day and took care of getting the quote for the damage on my car.

Hated the Encore. Absolutely hated it. After having a large sedan and a large SUV, driving that small SUV made me feel like this:

I like the new redesigned Regal. But the only way I can do that is to lease it. Which the sales guy, who was only six years older than me (why do I get the feeling the dealerships are pairing me with young sales guys on purpose?) made a valid point: leasing might not be a bad thing given that at my age, I have no idea what my vehicle needs will be in three years. He also pegged me correctly. I told him work is moving me around, so I'm not pulling the trigger until I know what's going on with that. He said I strike him as the kind that's being driven crazy by it and would have already made the decision had it not been for work. Um, yeah, about right. :hilarious: He also knew that there was no sway he was selling me the Encore before we got in the car. Yeah, that was right too.

But still, feeling like I might get more bang for my buck in one of the other cars. I'm kind of leaning towards the Malibu. If I go the leasing route, I might do the Malibu now, and then when that lease is up, determine where I am financially and then look at a higher end car at that point if I'm ready.

I think the Camry is off the table. I like it, but it's the least fun to drive, and no Android auto kind of kills it.
We had pretty bad luck with the 2 cars we bought over here. The first one was so so small and once I got pregnant, we gave that thing up because the seatbelts weren't even long enough to fit around a baby carseat. But it had an oil leak anyway. So then we bought another car.....Seat I think? But that thing was NOTHING but problems....when we bought it, they told us they had just replaced the engine, so it was basically like a brand new car, even though it was 9 years old. Great...but within 2 years, we had to replace the engine again....2000 euros to replace it. Plus, in the winter, when it got cold, the doors would freeze up and you couldn't open them or get them closed. My husband had to drive with one hand on the steering wheel and the other holding the door closed until the car warmed up enough to get the door closed. I had to crawl out the window once because I couldn't get my door to open, and then there was the time that the window was frozen shut, so I couldn't roll down the window and the door would only open from the outside, so I had to flag someone down at my work to come open the door for me so I could get out of the car. It was a mess....and they dealership just said it was a manufacturer's defect, nothing they could do about it. So when, after we replaced the engine, it died after ANOTHER 2 years, and again, it was the engine needing to be replaced, we decided we'd had enough of owning cars. We started leasing and it's been fantastic. You get a new choice after 5 or 6 years, you always get a NEW car, so you don't have those problems with it, everything is covered in the payment....it's automatically insured and if something breaks, we don't have to pay for the repairs. First we had a Toyota Yaris and now we have a Peugot 208 or something? I liked the Yaris a bit better....it was easier to get in and out of and it had a camera in the back. But as I'm not the one driving, I don't give input on stuff like that...and we got this one at a discounted rate since it was our 2nd car from that company. There are definite advantages to leasing instead of buying.

If I remember correctly, there are different sized cabins.. the 2-4 cabins are smaller than the family (3-5 cabins) and the "accessible" ones are even larger.
Certain corner cabins and front facing cabins can be bigger in some of the ships. (Royal caribbean for example, has some really big family cabins in the front of some of their ships)

Yep, a lot of different cabin options!
Since oldest DD and SonIL had aft veranda cabins on their DCL honeymoon cruise and loved it so much we got them for our Carnival cruise, and they were awesome!!!!! :joyfull:
The middle of the Gulf, and sooooo relaxing...just beautiful brain drain...!!!!!!! :inlove:

For our next cruise in July we couldn't get 3 aft cabins, as they were already booked, but, we have 2 cabins with balconies port side and one cabin with a balcony starboard side, with an elevator core between, towards the front of the ship!

This was our aft cabin floor plan on our Dec. cruise...!!!!!!! :inlove:
