So I was on the phone and logged on as soon as reservations were open for Be Our Guest and the line was continuously busy or disconnected me and I could get anything online until 9 mountain time. I got three 1 person reservations for lunch so we each go in and eat alone. I figured it's like single rider dining.
lucky you.. when are you going to eat there?

June 2 at 1130 and my son will eat there at 1245 same day. My daughter will eat there May 23 at 1130. My son will be almost 16 and he is good at navigating the parks since we have gone every year since 2007 so he can do the stuff I don't like to do while I eat or vice versa. I can always hang out til his reservation time no?

I sure hope it looks better in person, 'cause it looks like **** in that pic. :depressed:
I still can't believe Disney even went there in the first place, especially with the HUB, of all places. I mean, I get why as per functionality, but, geez, even then, it's DISNEY ******...astro-esque turf...?!
Old dead guys are rollin' over...

I agree. First step, AstroTurf. Second step, if that doesn't work for "them" . . . concrete.

I'm using rental skates. They're free.

Some of them are okay, and some of them...ugh. The pair I wore Monday hurt really badly. That was a pain because I got one pair, got onto the ice and figured out my left blade was slipping, and when I showed the Assistant Coach, she said to go trade them in. Then I got another pair. The blades weren't as bad, but they hurt pretty badly. I was sore. Today, the laces were weird. The right skate had laces that were almost too short, and the left skate had insanely long laces. Right skate was fine. I was far better once I adjusted the left skate. I was thinking about getting my own skates, but I haven't found a store that carries them down here, I could get them online but am unsure about the size (I wear an 8 in the rental skates, but who knows), and I only have a few weeks left, and while I plan on keeping up with the skating, not sure how much I'm going to do it. Might see if my bestie wants to go; she seems like the friend who would be willing.

My socks are only ankle socks, but seem to work well. They are the good ones from Di ck's Sporting Goods that I also wear around Disney. Past two trips I have been blister-free in sneakers and these socks. I have a hard time finding socks that don't drive me bonkers.

I think I need to take Tylenol before I skate too. I had to take Excedrin Migraine this morning, and I ended up less sore today than I have in a while. If it helps, it's worth it.

If you continue to skate (after your lessons are over), I really hope you get a decent pair of skates. Really, you will be surprised to see how much better you will skate with some decent boot support. Also, it's important to have a professional sharpen your blades when needed. I never trusted the local guys with my blades (one time, someone ruined them--had to get new blades); I would only take them to pro shops at rinks with reputable figure skating clubs. (Some of the skaters in training for professional competition, pay $500 & upwards -- and well above that -- for their blades.) Boots and blades are bought separately. Also important is the mount of the blade to your boot; different skaters prefer different positions of the blades on the boot. But lastly, even if you opt to buy a set of skates already mounted with blades at a lower price, that will still be far better than the worn-out rentals you've been using.

I'm not going to like it aesthetically, so far I've seen bushes that have the lower branches pulled and plucked to make them appear they are mini trees. :(:(:( Just doesn't look magical anymore.

Little by little they have butchered the heck out of Town Square, Main Street and the Hub. I will keep firmly planted the lovely trees in Town Square, up Main Street and beautiful Cherry Trees in the well shaded hub that my babies saw their first few parades under the Cherry Blossoms.

Exactly. They can't take away our memories . . .
