I'm glad I'm vegan:D
I love vegan cooking. I call it pantry cooking because I usually always have the ingredients on hand. The only issue I have had lately is with broccoli, whether fresh or frozen, I cannot find organic. :(Our local Walmart now sells frozen organic vegetables. While it is like only 5 items, at least they exist and are much cheaper than the supermarket. Unfortunately I think a lot of others have found out and I haven't been able to find any in about 2 weeks:rolleyes:. I love the frozen veggies for soup. Always an easy, quick meal.:):hungry:

OMG is she part bobcat, that's a lot o kitten:cat:
She's gonna be a big girl when she's done growing. But she's still very much a kitten. You can see it in her face and her personality.

She's very playful, but also gentle as can be. She's put her teeth on me before when playing, but it doesn't hurt and barely leaves a mark, even though she definitely could bite harder.

We've also discovered she's very good with kids. My mom has a friend who runs a daycare, and she works with her one day a week. The friend is closed on Fridays, so she watches two of the kids on Fridays, a four year old and a one year old. The one year old pets Jasmine, and if she gets too rough, Jasmine walks away. She knows it's a baby and she has to be gentle. :inlove:

We are rain all day tomorrow and 60's. I head out to Atlantic City around 3ish, so unfortunately will be driving in it. But no snow is listed in the forecast. Temps will drop Saturday and Sunday will be a balmy 29. Stay warm and I hope you don't lose power.
THNX Our weekend plans include staying inside! Everything is charging now just in case.

@Songbird76 I went to a butcher shop today and asked for pork shoulder (varkens schouder) to make pulled pork. The butcher cut me an 800gr piece that is marinating in the fridge as I type this. It wasn't very expensive either just €8.80.

Overall that isn't a bad price for a cut of meat that isn't all so common where you live.

I am loving my Christmas Present ECHO ALEXA more and more. In seconds I knew the Euro and the gram conversion to pounds.
Solutions to my First World Mathematical Problems. I did like Siri but she started to more and more just send me a link to

Kringla Bakeri is closed til summer. At least there is a temp stand.[/QUOTE]
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. There goes my vacation in May.

Kringla Bakeri is closed til summer. At least there is a temp stand.
who? or what?

More and more of the long term resturants and stands have closed, some of them more unexpectedly than others throughout the WDW Property and most of them haven't been quick though a few were only a few days. I've been wondering given the age of many of these places updates might be required code wise 'cause they are rapidly going through many of these establishments.
And if it is infrastructure then why not go ahead and just rehab the entire place and update while your at it. That is where my mind is leaning anyhow, not like Disney is actually going to post that on there blog.

Kringla actually comes at a good time. Arts Festival Kiosks are up and running and will immediately be followed by 3 months of Flower and Garden Kiosks. I actually love more of the food offerings for F&G over F&Wine. Plus it isn't normally near as hot and humid and makes kiosk hopping better (unless @MinnieM123 ) is in the House of the Mouse then all bets are off.

Ours was All My Life by KC and JoJo. My ex-BIL actually sang the song to the music.

That's nice, and very special that your ex-BIL sang it. I'm enjoying reading about all the interesting songs that some people here, had at their wedding. (Actually, we didn't have that type of reception--no band, no song, etc. )

We kept it small (approx. 30 people), and instead -- we splurged big time on the FOOD--all the guests were in hog heaven with the amazing food we had at the reception. :hungry: Chef was outstanding (I was working in the hotel business at that time, 24 years ago), and our executive chef really put on the DAWG for us!! People were raving about the food. Then, once the reception was over, we were on a plane to Las Vegas! :joyfull: Sometimes you gotta eat and run! :hilarious:

So Hawaii is definitely not happening.
My sister is looking to switch jobs because there is no room for advancement in her current position. She found out late this afternoon that she made it thru the first round of selections for a new job she applied for and she needs to be available for interviews at a later date. I am excited for her but disappointed for me.

Sad for her and you about Hawaii but exciting for her possible new job. Perhaps you can manage a little weekend girls trip somewhere close to celebrate if she gets it or even if she doesn't. At least you have WDW coming up!

I kind of think that's WHY we get good packages. Not many would be able to afford standard Disney prices AND airfare...they want to draw in the international crowd.
As for food....there's a chineese restaurant around the corner from my in-laws' house that has HUGE eggrolls. They are more than a meal. You have to use a knife and fork to eat them....too heavy to pick up. So an egg roll CAN be a meal.

I think you kinda took my comment of an Egg Roll isn't an entree for a child out of context.

We were discussing specifically the Disney Dining Plan and the Kids Dining Plan at WDW not Egg Rolls from around the world. Sure Netherlands version of an Egg Roll that is too heavy to be picked up CAN be a meal but that is not what the Disney Dining Plan served to children, not even close. This is from the Disney Food Blog but it wasn't enough food for the 8 year old on the Dining Plan.

So how do the Dutch deep fry a an Egg Roll that is too heavy to lift? With that much stuffed into the wrapper of the egg roll I'd think it would fall apart or is the wrapper that much thicker in the Netherlands?

Thank you, I hope she gets this new job. I am pretty sure they won't promote her at her current office because she is a woman. They can't legally say that of course but there isn't a single woman in higher management. It makes me angry as my sister is highly qualified and hard working, her current manager is leaving and even recommended my sister to his boss as a replacement but the big boss decided to look outside the company for a replacement.

Sorry can't like this, sounds like your sister is the best person for the job according to her current manager and should be promoted.
