Agree with this, my mom was in love with some cars. But after testing them, she found some of them to be too low, others having horrible peripehial and back visibility, others where the front area was way too high.

Very recommended to test before you buy.

Yea, I'm sure it's pretty rare that anyone would buy a car (other than at an auction, etc.) without first test driving it, but, I know it happens.

I think the merchandise discount is still 20%. The dining discount was nice while it lasted. I don't know why though they cannot even offer the 10% at the counter service restaurants.

I still can't believe how awesome my CM discounts were when I worked at the Disney Store...
20% off merch, then 35% off merch after 3 years of employment, 50% off DDP, 60% off resort.
I just couldn't keep, nor had to (the firm had hired me back full time a little over 7 months before in finally let it go), working weekends after our June of '13 trip just to keep the discounts...

I ended up getting two barrels from Basin online. I *think* I was able to find two of the ones I bought while I was down there, but I guess we'll find out. I grabbed:

Barrel One: Butterbomb, Water Lily, Pink Sands, Sweetheart and Vanilla Grapefruit
Barrel Two: Therapy, Bombshell, Pineapple Papaya, and a Princess Treasure for my daughter's birthday at the end of February.

That should hopefully get me through the winter! But that makes two Disney things that are added to my winter/ holiday preparation list for next year: Basin bath bombs and Firenog (quality eggnog with Fireball whiskey).

The like is for the Firenog part...!

I've heard that you can get any drink below $24, so if I were on the DDP, I'd probably go with the most expensive drink I could find that qualified. Because A) when am I ever going to go to a restaurant and order a $23 glass of wine, and 2) I'd be too competitive about the DDP trying to "maximize" my credits.

Yea, the 2 times we did the DDP with my 50% CM discount, we dogged down. :cyclops:
I'm not ordering the $25.99 chicken salad when I've already prepaid a fixed amount and can get the $35.99 steak instead...!!!!! :joyfull:

Seriously I did not do much to speak of today beyond sitting, sitting and listening to conversation, actually my Mom talking non stop and my niece and I listening. You'd think I wouldn't be so tired???

Since I opened my laptop I have taken at least 3 late nite power snoozes that I am at least aware of. There are ONLY 9 pages of new posts I going to try and read. Maybe the power naps will help. :joyfull: Who knew sitting and listening zapped that much energy.

Yup, just wonder into the field to nowhere.:D
That's pretty funny...where IS that?? It looks pretty new, too...the crosswalk isn't faded. Maybe they are getting ready to do some construction and the crosswalk is just the first phase?

My husband is a man of few words. He's been walking around for days with a loose back tooth in his mouth. That's news to me. Not a word. First I heard of it he wagon the phone this morning making a dental appointment. Luckily he got in today and they pulled the tooth. The man is 71 years old. I doubt he will miss one back tooth in the grand scheme of things. Doctor/dentist is a prince. He charged my husband $87 to pull the tooth. My husband had scrambled eggs for lunch.
Aww...hope he feels better soon. I'm betting he's got a pretty sore mouth!

I think sometimes that makes you even more sleepy. I've been home for 3 weeks during the day because of Christmas Vacation...they only scheduled me to work in the evenings because the kids are not at school during the day. Now, school started again, but DD just went back to school today, and DS is still home with a fever. So I'm still stuck at home and while I haven't done a thing, I feel like I need a snooze. I hope DS can go to school tomorrow....they have their next cooking lesson, and he'll be really upset if he misses it. He LOVES that they have cooking lessons. And he's already upset that he has to stay home. He came in this morning and says " Mom, I'm so unlucky with the vacation!" And I said "You are?" and he says " Yeah! What did I say to you before vacation??" and I said "That you didn't want vacation?" and he says "I wanted a shorter vacation. And now I get the opposite...I get a LONGER vacation!" and he started to get teary. Poor kid.

Used the dining plan this past October and came out quite well in front on what cash would have cost.

It is going to be spotty sleep nite for me I guess.

On and off we have done free dining and paying for Dining Plan. For us it depends on our master plan for the trip. In 2016 dining at TS restaurants was a priority for my DS for our long trip and we took the free dining over a overall better deal for room only discount.. Our long trip in 2017 our priority was F&W and snacking as we were too full to do much of either in 2016. It was more of savings as we were trapped during Hurricane Irma and those dining credits during Hurricane Irma with severe limited dining choices would have been a waste. Blessed by accident.

We returned for Christmas season in 2017 without a dining plan and came out ahead as that trip was only a week and we powered the parks and did Christmas party, our goal was attractions over food and resort hopping to see Christmas as it had been many years since we did that. I love the dining plan when our trip goals are enjoying a lot of good food for that trip. Still our trips vary with planning and what we will give up to dine over accomplish. Realistically TS eats up a great deal of Park Time and commuting to Dining does also. Being a AP holder the 20% off many dining locations offset not having dining by far. I like that we mix it up trip to trip. Disney is so inconsistent in their offerings so being kinda flexible has worked for us.

I so understand his point. Disappointing while loving his new environment. And yes, I don't understand my sleep pattern and lack there of. It was a LONG day. So many stories out of my Mom, lots of fiction. Lots and lots of listing on both my part and my niece.
I stayed longer than I anticipated because I wanted to be a buffer for my niece. They will do an outlet mall tomorrow via Uber cause Niece can't drive my Moms car and my Mom cant do, her eye condition-she can't drive in the dark and the parking garage is always dark at her outlet mall, but any who niece has an outing for tomorrow to give her young 20 something a break from story time. :banghead: Long day for me...so much longer for niece.

We don't get room rates here ☹

@RedNoseMickey I clicked on your user name under the photo of Mickey w/ a red nose....'cause I noticed your phrase : "just when I am ON HOLIDAYS ..." Sure enough you are British. Very cool!
I'll never forget the 1st time I was a tourist across the pond in Ireland. A friendly Irishman asked me: "How long is your HOLIDAY?" I was confused but assured him I was not celebrating any "holiday"....I was on vacation! :angelic:
I am actually Dutch but the Brits have adopted me.
There are a couple of difference between British English and American English and it gets even more confusing when you throw in Australian. Since London is now my home I try to stick to British English I just pronounce everything with an American accent.;)
