And how many Joffery's in Disney ?
Maybe 4. Unless you count what was brewed in the condo before heading out![]()
When feeling the need for Starbuck I brew my own to save a few bucksMy dh has a small coffee maker at work to save money
I wondered who'd be the first to noticeA pint or a Litre ?
We have a cafeteria & coffee shop at work. (no Starbucks store at work) One of my buddies likes the large lattes that they make in the coffee shop, and she buys one each day -- at $3.50. I told her to really enjoy it, as she's spending $17.50 a week on that, and $70.00 a month. A number of the offices have a Keurig, and many of us use that.
Between here and watching sewing videos from the other side of the pond I've started saying things such as jumper for sweater, going on holiday, pants for unmentionables, pint for beer bum for bottem
You are very international....so interesting!I am actually Dutch but the Brits have adopted me.
There are a couple of difference between British English and American English and it gets even more confusing when you throw in Australian. Since London is now my home I try to stick to British English I just pronounce everything with an American accent.![]()
Same thing happened to my step dad. He had a small one and then it quickly became very large. They attributed it to a medication he was on.It sure is. My MIL had to wear coke bottle lenses to see anything after cataract surgery. It isn't even the nightmare that one can imagine. I felt nothing except pressure on my eye. (not the kind the doctors like to use instead of extreme pain, it really didn't hurt at all.) I was surprised at how quickly this one came on. I knew the cataract was there for years, but, until just a month or so ago, I hadn't noticed any problem with my sight in that eye. Then all of a sudden it was enough for me to know it wasn't just my imagination or dirty glasses. I still thought it was just that my eyes had changed and that I needed new prescription lenses for my glasses. Turns out I needed a completely new lens for my eye. Who knew?
Excedrin contains caffeine. So probably the double caffeine whammy helps with the migraine.Interesting. One of my family members when a migraine strikes only relief is Excedrin and Coke. Wonder if it is that combo of Excedrin and caffeine? Aspirin nor Advil helped, Tylenol always seemed to make the Migraines worse but were the Doc's first suggestion.
Starbucks for me had been rare. Over the last year+ it has become my daily treat. I try not to think about the weekly cost even though it is a simple coffee not a $6 specialty drink, about $2.50. This too shall pass but for now it is my special thing from me to myself. Oddly I've had one Starbucks coffee in Disney since they moved into the parks. Go Figure!
Wow. Do they still offer those discounts to CM's? If there was a Disney Store within 30 minutes of here, I would be bum-rushing the door for those benefits.I still can't believe how awesome my CM discounts were when I worked at the Disney Store...
20% off merch, then 35% off merch after 3 years of employment, 50% off DDP, 60% off resort.
I just couldn't keep, nor had to (the firm had hired me back full time a little over 7 months before in finally let it go), working weekends after our June of '13 trip just to keep the discounts...
What a huge turnaround for him. All that stress last year with the school. So happy for him. That's pretty funny...where IS that?? It looks pretty new, too...the crosswalk isn't faded. Maybe they are getting ready to do some construction and the crosswalk is just the first phase?
Aww...hope he feels better soon. I'm betting he's got a pretty sore mouth!
I think sometimes that makes you even more sleepy. I've been home for 3 weeks during the day because of Christmas Vacation...they only scheduled me to work in the evenings because the kids are not at school during the day. Now, school started again, but DD just went back to school today, and DS is still home with a fever. So I'm still stuck at home and while I haven't done a thing, I feel like I need a snooze. I hope DS can go to school tomorrow....they have their next cooking lesson, and he'll be really upset if he misses it. He LOVES that they have cooking lessons. And he's already upset that he has to stay home. He came in this morning and says " Mom, I'm so unlucky with the vacation!" And I said "You are?" and he says " Yeah! What did I say to you before vacation??" and I said "That you didn't want vacation?" and he says "I wanted a shorter vacation. And now I get the opposite...I get a LONGER vacation!" and he started to get teary. Poor kid.
While he does know how to design 3D using a program and can print those out, this Stitch was one someone else came up with and he just basically pressed print. He printed a Mickey yesterday.Genius.
I have also been known to say, "going on holiday". It sounds more fun than "vacation".Between here and watching sewing videos from the other side of the pond I've started saying things such as jumper for sweater, going on holiday, pants for unmentionables, pint for beer bum for bottem

Wow, a cake of lint! So, funny story.... When I was stationed at fort Bragg they had run out of housing on post so they put me up in this apartment right outside the gate. It was glorious, because I had a garden tub, and a couple spare rooms for my friends to stay in when they came to visit.
But I had a lot of trouble with the clothes dryer. It worked okay when I first got in, but grew less and less effective. Soon, I was having to dry a load of laundry six or seven hours before it would actually get dry. So I finally broke down and called maintenance who said they could come check it out the next day while I was at work.
So I get home from work, and on top of the dryer is a cake if dryer lint that was, I kid you not, at least six inches thick, and a note from the maintenance guy that said "you're lucky the building didn't catch fire. Please empty the dryer lint after every three loads"I had only ever done laundry at the laundromat before so I had no idea there even was a dryer lint trap
