In other news, I do not like the new website quotes. Why? because it could be used as proof when someone wrote something and tried to backdown later on.
Now it seems the quotes are updated automatically on edit o_O

While for normal conversation there is no problem (ie, just a simple typo) For conversations like politics, rants, etc.. It could be very troublesome as someone could easily "I never said it", "you did it!" "prove it" "I have it in quote somewhere" "hah no you dont!"(and thus the quotes are no longer the original text).

There is a reason the quotes do not change to prevent baiting. (person A is very rude and insults everyone, Person B defends profoundly and calls A, Person A changes the writing text but with a very specific changes. Person B now looks like a deranged prissy.. People will now bash person B for "overreacting").

Which means on heated conversations.. you will have to rely on screenshots....

Funnily, this excuse is used in all accounts and in both sides..

You're too old.. you're not allowed to talk about tech or games.
You're "too young".. and your opinion is invalid in politics and money.
The ironic part of that second statement is I've got friends in their late 20s and early 30s. They're usually the ones coming to me for money advice because I went to business school. It's kind of funny that I'm younger yet explaining how the deductions on their paycheck or interest on their bank account works. I can also calculate a car payment without using one of those omline tools. It's been very useful lately.

Exactly, its stupid to broadly disregard someones take just because their age might make them ignorant. But flatly refuse them instead of actually listen to them and then make an educated response based on what you heard or seen?

I think the same could be said about sex.
Like random ignorant people blasting X company for employing female captains (on planes or cruise ships).
Even if they are more than capable for doing their jobs (and trained more than twice to break this discrimination).

I have to laugh...my poor DS....he is soooo bad at looking for things! Last night, he was miserable...head ache, sore throat, coughing. He came to me and asked me for a Ludens. They don't have those here, so I stock up when I'm in the States. I had bought 2 big bags back in 2016....didn't think to get any in March of last year since it hadn't been long since our last trip. Anyway, it's been a bad year for the kids getting coughs, so we had gone through a LOT of Ludens, but I was pretty sure we still had one bag left...I had given DD the last of the one bag a couple of months ago when she had some bug and was coughing up a storm. So I tell DS to look in this bag where I keep everything from our last trip that I don't have a place for. He looked through it for probably a full minute and came up empty. So I said "Sorry, bud...I think we must be out then. We'll have to ask if someone can send us some for the next time." He was really upset. So today I walk past the bag of stuff and I look in....I didn't even have to MOVE anything....I just looked in, and there was the bag of Ludens. How did he MISS that?? He's very happy...he has his ludens, AND my brother send a package and it got here today and it had zingers in it for him, which he had just said he really missed zingers. So now he's a very happy camper, despite the fever.

Would it be bad if I contacted the Grenfell Tower support team to see if they sound help with getting my claim resolved? I am listed as a victim of the fire (the council determined that, I didn't sign up for it) and I keep getting news letters saying they are there to help etc. So far I haven't accepted any help or support as I feel I should take care of myself and not be a drain on resources but I am so frustrated with this situation. It is hard enough living right next to that carcass of a building, being reminded every day of what happened, without getting the run around from everyone.
Totally get wanting to handle things yourself. Sometimes we need help from others and if you have the ability to get some sort of assistance I would try and use it.

That's okay; you learn things very quickly on this board. Although I had no idea there was such hatred for Disney bounding. I can't say I'm a fan, but I don't care if others do it

I used to be StarWarsGirl95 adding the year I was born, but learned people would often say, "Oh, you're so young; your opinion isn't valid" so I took off the 95 to get rid of the automatic judgements. The entra two seconds it takes them to look at my profile to see my age made a huge difference.

You should have just told them you were a Lightning McQueen fan :p

OMG!! That last one, at like...1:10...that cracked me up!!

Wow...I had no idea! I thought most people were pretty positive about the whole Bounding thing. I've never heard a nasty comment about it, but then I don't venture too far from here or the TRs...maybe I'm just not active in the places where they are negative about it.

That last one at the end where he fell on his face had me rolling!!

I did change my typo from classes to glasses, not sure if it changed in everywhere. I have seen a few threads were people get nasty and rude and it makes me even happier to have the Chit Chat thread and Trip Reports.

Add white to that.
My mom only has had her car for 2 days and she has been hit TWICE.

One by an idiotic teenager who had no business driving a huge pick up (tboned my mom after he somehow lost control and rammed my mother sideways as she drove on a 4 lane road (2/2 road). Good thing they were both going very slow (the kid was just tarting to to speed up, which makes me wonder if he was high..)

The other.. a b***rd bus driver (very usual to see drivers being scum, untrained, rude, dirty, racing to get as many people as possible on their buses in falling apart buses). hit my mom in the back during a stoplight. My mom was baffled and the driver escaped.
Ugh! Does your mom even have a car left?

Age doesn't equal wisdom especially when it comes to money. I know plenty of people of all ages who are dumb with money.
I have found now that I am in my forties that I am clearer on what I want out of life and I have more confidence then in my twenties but my opinion on matters is no more valid than a 20 year old or a 60 year old. Everyone is entitled to voice their opinion and depending on what it is, I am entitled to disagree with them like Dryer lint is not a yummy snack @dryerlintfan .;)

Totally agree with you. I wish I would have known in my 20's what I know in my 40's. I would have prevented a lot of aggravation in my 30's and 40's. @StarWarsGirl you are way ahead of the curve and should be proud of yourself. :)

yes, its been fixed a few times. Still.. :/

I hadn't noticed at first but you are right. I might need classes to learn how to wear my glasses as they are making me a bit nauseous as soon as I look anywhere but my screen.:grumpy:
Yeah thats exactly what happened to me..
