I just burst out laughing at this string about the emojis and how all of us are freaking out. It is somewhat comforting to know that we all share this gigantic first world problem, isn't it? :hilarious::hilarious: (But, more to the point--it's the little things in life that help to keep us sane, correct?! :D ) O.k. I'm forming a posse here--we gotta go find the green big grin emoji ! )
Ha! My DD and I have been laughing so hard too on how there is so much emotional attachments to emoji's. I guess I've been on so many forums over many years that I've seen sites get updated along with their little smiley faces Ive come to expect all sites not just this to have updates like Facebook and Twitter also have and with those too the emjoi's tend to change too. My kids have iPhone 10x's and their new emoji's are a hoot, many are animated now. Me over the years I just pick what is the closest I can find for a post and click, can't say I've ever had an emotional attachment to emjoi's but they are cute.

See I read on a bit more and discovered more emoji solutions....I see Steve has made it possible for everyone to have emoji happiness on the site by being able to use emoji's from their own device if the loaded ones aren't for you. Solutions to first world problems! :)

Many years ago my dh left a half finished project and a hammer in my kitchen. Long story short the boys wanted to help finish it and somehow the hammer fell off the counter into my foot. Nothing insane just 2 kids grabbing for the same item:eek::cautious: OUCH Needless to say he doesn't leave tools lying around any more:joyfull:

Yep, mine thought he'd be helpful in my kitchen. :cautious: Didn't like seeing cooking slop on the counter next to stove top. So while I was outside he cleaned it up, I'm between BBQ and stove, in and out cooking dinner...his solution for better ways of me doing stuff was to place paper towel across the counter to rest my cooking spoons upon. Well....there is a breeze when the door opens and closes and at some point blew paper towel into the flame of the stove....FIRE....That portion of the kitchen counter became a butcher block.

I guess he was right....there wasn't any slop on the counter after the fire. :banghead:

I am not a phone talker either. I use it mostly for texting and using the internet.

It is normally my Mom that calls. I haven't had a land line in years, I rarely call anyone and the ones I do call are generally elderly. We have been a texting family forever long before any of us had iphones. Its quick, to the point and done or a photo with do you want this? A phone call can't do that. It worked in Disney at Epcot this last trip, couldn't find my family in Epcot. Stopped took a pic of a France Icon visible from where I stood in the dark just before Illuminations. "I'm here, where are you?" Photo came back of them on the bridge from Entrance to France. I love my iPhone. When I find myself wait in a longer than expected line somewhere I'll play on Twitter, check my alerts or CNN headlines, mindless stuff to pass the time. Now I want a 10x like my family has. Phone envy. I actually try not to email either, found that became a burden.

I am the opposite. I would rather call and speak to someome than text as you can read messages the wrong way as there is no inflection in it. Plus when i am at Disney and queueing i people watch or even (in a push) talk to Donna ;)
