@MySmallWorldof4 what most Dutch people go really nuts about is soccer.
There is a soccer field in Madurodam as well.View attachment 254988

The canals in Amsterdam

So beautiful. Love that Canal. Someone should mail it to the mayor of Chicago as their Canal looks nothing like that nor is it pretty.

Interesting...I bought many cases of Heineken's last month and delivered them to my friends and neighbors that helped me out so much this past year. Truly dear friends-except one neighbor who was born in Italy and is a fan of Pauly Girl. Me, never had heard of it but the liquor store knew.

Come here little groundhog....I have this pretty little thing called a sling shot to show you. :angelic:

We are having an ice storm. Everything is now encased in ice. The weather report is saying shortly we will start getting snow on top of that ice layer. :cautious:
One of my favorite quotes expresses my feelings of what my DD created tonight.

Oh dear God Almighty! That's incredible! I want to put it on the waffles tomorrow for breakfast! I want to take a bath in this stuff!

Disney dessert worthy. S'mores cookie bars.

Dislike so much to the ice storm. But at least you have good cookie bars to eat! 🤗

My DD too has a Caviler Chevy. It will turn 20 years old this year. It only has 40,000 miles and no rust. Paid $2,200 for it when she was in high school. Starts everyday, no fancy sensors to poop out. It was a compact car in its day and now is as long or longer than most Sedans. A very nice car if they would clone that one.

I finally got to wear one of my new pairs of cute boots:joyfull: My dh thought today would be a good day to do some mall walking:cautious: I'm either very stubborn or in much better shape than him. :D

Walking is like running just without the torture, it builds nice muscles. I figure that is why I can walk Disney without issues for a couple of weeks. It is just part of our daily routines, well except for the last few weeks anyhow. :cautious:

Hello little groundhog...the idea of now a few inches of snow ontop of the ice.

Warning little fellow...winter best be ending when you peek your little head out....:cautious:

I was leaving my DD building at the same time as one of her neighbors. As soon as we walked across the sidewalk into the asphalt parking lot we both in tandem fell. Me being almost 2x his age fell far more gracefully than he did. That lot was wet 30 minutes prior when I arrived and frozen ice exiting the building. It was black ice, it just looked wet.
Sympathy like. Glad you weren't hurt and try and stay in until it's safe

The like is a sympathy like. My rule of thumb in the winter is if a surface (road, sidewalk) does not look grayish, it may have hidden (black) ice.
