Thank you both for the input. The electrical issue down the road has made me wary as both my original Oldsmobile and my current one had that issue. Not to the extent that Minnie's did, but they've had that issue. That being said, I'm buying new, including newest model year, so hopefully that issue will have been corrected, and it will still be under warrenty if it does pop up within the first few years. It's just very hard to pass up $3200 in free money.

Not looking at Kias. My cousin had one and it didn't last her five years. Looking primarily at Toyotas, Hyundais, and Chevys.

There are going to be lemons (and there are lemon laws) here and there but look for reviews of cars in under 5 years as models change. While we had a Chevy Blazer that lasted 15 years and over 240,000 miles it really means squat as it born a long long time ago.

As I told Donald earlier, long story, short, yes but worked out in divorce decisions, the ex pays for phone. Whatever his plan is, he has multiple family members on it and we all have to share the little bit of web. I'm not getting another phone because I have one. I'm not a phone talker at all.
I am not a phone talker either. I use it mostly for texting and using the internet.

I don't like talking on phones either. We have our (regular) phone at home, and I also have a small, older flipphone style, that I carry if there is some emergency when I'm out. I don't even leave it on if I don't call anyone. Oh, I've never sent a text either. As for the internet, I use it here at home and at work.

I'm really enjoying all your photos. Amsterdam is very interesting--a whole different world.
Thank you. Madurodam is actually based in The Hague but it has a miniature city block of Amsterdam. I thought it looked very cute, you can't tell on the photo but there were boats travelling on the canal and trains zipping thru the whole of the park.

Figgy, speaking of gluten free, I saw on a Cheerios box today that the cereal is gluten free. So you can have Cheerios. :)
I really do not trust these new claims of "gluten free". I remember that the companies lobbied the federal office to drop down the requirements of 100% gluten free to be able to use the "gluten free" remark.
So now you have to be 99 or 98% or "traces of gluten" to use "gluten free".

@StarWarsGirl I have never owned a car as work usually provides one. I have only driven a Chevy ones, it was a rental in the US and we had to return it after 3 days because of electrical issues. If I had to buy a car I would go for a Kia or Toyota. I have driven both extensively and was very pleased with them. No mechanical problems and super comfortable to drive.
Kia's seem to be OK if you trade your car in every 3-4 years. If you are going to hold on to a car for the long haul it has not worked out for a few of my friends. They are cheaper to buy though if you want to unload them fairly fast.

Coming from a military family in my young life I'm not a fan of the name of Brand, kinda makes me cringe. KIA in the states anyhow is Killed in Action. My mind just goes there...:(
