The new Ale House was fun. Fun especially since this Ale house had wine.

The Sports TVs were a hoot. When the station had that 2 second pause it was similar to a power outage in the restaurant. The entire restaraunt was wall to wall TVs with Football.

That looks like a great dinner! Personally I would hate all the TVs but the hamburgers looked delicious.

In case I'm not driving everyone crazy enough with this topic...

Has anyone had any experience with Chevys?

I'm thinking I might be going that direction. My dad, at first, was very much on the path of "Oh, just pay $1500 and repair your car" until my mom and I remembered that there is a another repair that is needed before it goes through emissions testing again; otherwise, the car will fair the emissions testing, and that repair will cost $1100. So the car needs $2600 worth of repairs and is worth, at most, $1300, which I told my dad is not worth the investment. He is now more on board with me getting a new car. So much, in fact, that he is willing to give me the points on their GM credit card, which amounts to $3200. Since they aren't planning on replacing their cars for another 4-5 years.

BUT...I told him flat out that if I get a GM car, it will most likely be a Chevy, since they seem to have more features at a lower cost, and I'm looking at midsize sedans, and the Chevy Malibu gets better reviews than the Buick Regal.

I'm curious though; I've heard good things about Hyundais, Toyotas...any experiences with Chevys?
I had an Impala I loved, but it was a 69. Guess that's not what you were asking for. Sorry:facepalm: and insert looking down emoji

Do you remember which coast? Pacific? Atlantic?

For Atlantic is usually Cozumel, Cancun or Playa del Carmen.
For Pacific: Cabo, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, Manzanillo, Acapulco.
Speaking of traveling, I am reading a book I got for my birthday about world wonders and there are some things in it that remind me of places you went on your last trip with your mom and your sister. I loved reading about the mines and places you visited, and I'd really like to look some things up. Could you PM me a list or post a list here with the city and site names of the places you visited on that trip, please? Nothing fancy, just the names of the places so I can google them? Thank you!

I have no 3 dots that I can see anywhere.
I'm on my iPhone 6s, as always.
Ah, yeah, sorry...I don't use my phone. I am always on the laptop because I hate typing on my phone. It takes too long. So I can't help with that. On the laptop, it gives the page number...it says "1...6938" and if you click on the " ..." it asks what page you want to go to.

On my phone...at the top left of my screen (to the left of the wdwmagic logo)are three white stripes...high..middle..low. They are stacked like that. One time a colleague called that a waffle symbol.
That must just be on a mobile device. I don't have that on the laptop. I do have a drop down menu with the " forums" button, but I never use any of that stuff so I ignore that. It's so much easier just to click on the thread I want in the main list. It records where I was in each thread the last time I visited, so it takes me right to the last read post there and I can just start from where I left off. Easy-peezy.

Mouse over or Click on the avatar next to the post to see that info.

Thank you!!! I hadn't even noticed those things were missing until someone said it...I rarely look. But it's nice to know HOW the next time I want to!

My family was always a chevy family. My first car was a Malibu...granted it was the same age as I am, and they've made a lot of changes since then, but I loved that car. It did have an issue accelerating, so if that's a concern, I would test that and make sure they've fixed that in the last 40 years. My mom drove a Lumina and loved it so much that she got another one when it was time to get rid of the old one. She drove her cars for YEARS though, and they always held up. We had a Cavelier for a while and while it was good with feul efficiency, it did not have much space. We'd go on vacation and I would be crammed into a tiny space in the back seat with coolers and suitcases so I couldn't really move, and my brother was tall so my mom let him sit in the front and push the seat ALL the way back so I was really boxed in and my knees touched the back of his seat. If you are wanting to schlepp friends around with you, I'd go for something bigger than the Cavelier. It was uncomfortable for me at 13 years old when I was only 5 foot 4 and about 130 lbs. The Lumina was much better. More leg room both front seat and back, so my brother didn't have to push the seat quite so far back. My mom bought a basically new car...I don't remember what they call it, but when a car has been retired from a rental agency, they have very few miles on them, but they drastically reduce the price. So it was almost like new...only a year or so old, and low mileage, but it was soooo much cheaper than getting a brand new one off the lot. You might look into that?

@StarWarsGirl do the chevys come with steering wheels ? ;)
OMG, I laughed so hard that I had a coughing fit. I'm so tired of being sick!!

Oh that looks great! It kind of reminds me of Old Chicago. We ate at Old Chicago when I was back for dad's funeral and that was the best burger I have ever had. So so good. I've never heard of Ale House, but that burger looked fab!

You just had me laughing out loud writing about how the cute green grinning guy has turned into a different emoji. :hilarious: At first I thought it was changed into the big red scary emoji. :eek:I wouldn’t be able to sleep if the grins turned into that either. :(Then I realized they turned into the open mouth smile emoji. Yes green guy is far superior. ;)

I just burst out laughing at this string about the emojis and how all of us are freaking out. It is somewhat comforting to know that we all share this gigantic first world problem, isn't it? :hilarious::hilarious: (But, more to the point--it's the little things in life that help to keep us sane, correct?! :D ) O.k. I'm forming a posse here--we gotta go find the green big grin emoji ! )

We have a Suburban, and while you are not looking for a family tank,:D we have had knock on wood a good experience with it. I love my heated steering wheel.:happy:I have a friend who has a Malibu and she absolutely loves it. She hasn't had any issues with it and has had it for 5 years now. I would definitely test drive one to make sure you like it. If you wait until your trip to Disney coming up, you can always head into test track and check out the vehicles. You cannot test drive them, but you can at least get a feel for them. I think they had Cruze and a Malibu when we were there last.

The cold going around in my neck of the woods seems to be lasting close to 3 weeks with its symptoms.(I prefer blue eek emoji too.)My dh says his voice still does not sound the same to him from all the coughing he had gone through. I hope you get over yours soon.

My dog just accidentally bit my hand :cry: she didn't mean to, we were playing with her Kong. But man I forgot how bad dog bites hurt :cry:

Oh dear. Not fun. Never had that happen.

The only time Jack bit, was 2 years ago at Christmas, he somehow got ahold of a tiny Christmas tree bulb (it was a decoration on a wrapped package--it was maybe 1/3 inch wide). He started to choke and hubs ran over and tried to pull it out of his mouth--mistake, but the dog was choking. Out of fear and dog confusion, Jack bit hubs' hand. Luckily the wound didn't go in deep, and hubs somehow managed to get the bulb out of his throat, before he swallowed it down further--which would have cut off his oxygen. Both hubs and Jack survived, but it was a very stressful situation all around.
