I get that I don't have Prime and didn't pay extra for shipping so I'm automatically a third class citizen. But I ordered something from Best Buy and it was here within three days. Free shipping and everything. It's been five days and haven't even shipped. I would tell Amazon off but they have stuff no one else has.
Don't feel bad. I took them up on the offer for free prime. So far, only one package arrived when they said it would. And the worst part is they are still marked as delivered. Later, someone goes back and marks delivery delay. So, the cd that was supposed to be left in my mailbox, not there. Two other packages that were supposedly delivered Saturday, not here. It started with the 2 shirts I ordered in a pinch for my DD for her concert. It is not easy to find a black button down long sleeve shirt with black buttons. Amazon played the it's delivered, no it isn't game. Took 6 days. Luckily, it showed up the day before the concert.

By the way @RedNoseMickey , I second what @DisneyBound2017 said. I would love to see pictures as well from your family trip. You can even put smiley faces on the family members like @Cesar R M did.:)
I am sure I can share some pictures of a Dutch Christmas but it might be after Christmas because I don't want to spend too much time with my phone when I can spend time with my family. :)

This particular cold that has made its way around the country seems to be a bit stronger than the common cold. I couldn't completely get rid of it for almost 15 days, and that's never happened before. It's just been hanging on for many people I know.

A lot of people at work have been sick, and of course working with kids (even pre-teens/teens) they don't mask the spread of their germs well. So I knew I would probably come down with it eventually. I ended up calling in for today, I still feel very yucky so I thought I should give myself a day of rest. I will have to go to the store sometime today though, I am almost out of my Puffs Plus with Lotion and right now that is an essential. I also wanted to rest up a little so I have my strength for the end of the week, supposedly there is a huge snow storm coming our way so I will need energy and strength for shoveling and hopefully no developing pneumonia.

It's hard to disassociate historical events we lived through with the countries they happened in. Iraq is a beautiful country too, rich with historic landmarks and ruins of cities from biblical times. I would love to go back, but you couldn't pay me to do so without armor and a weapon. I can't imagine thirty years from now going there on a casual vacation, but it could happen, I guess.
I understand that people have different feelings and memories with certain countries that makes them want to not go there. Vietnam and neighbouring countries are now perfectly safe for tourists and I wish more people could experience their beauty.

Or heat stroke :hilarious::hilarious:
Our first Christmas when my daughter was 2 was warm during the day but cool in the mornings/evenings. We swam one day during that trip then it cooled down to the point we needed to buy her gloves. So did everyone else in Magic Kingdom it seemed. We went to four shops, all out, shop five were unloading a box when we got there. $13!!!!!!! I have them packed away in a memory box never to be donated!

It was smart of you to stay home! I hope you feel better soon.

Good morning! We are back from FL. We had a great trip. No drama going or coming back (@Mr Ferret 88 ) ;)
It was a bit cool at night for FL. Hopefully, we aren’t getting colds. My DH’s voice is in and out. My throat was scratchy yesterday morning. Everyone seemed to have runny noses and coughs there.
I will post some pix once I get a handle on this laundry and grocery shopping.
Hope everyone is well! :)
Welcome back! :)Hope you don’t get that awful cold spreading. My oldest dd woke up with a fever. :(

Vietnam and neighbouring countries are all very beautiful with an interesting culture and a rich history. Most people there practice Buddhism and have a very different approach to life as Westerns.
Not only did it enrich my life having visited these countries it was also a lot of fun.
I didn't happen to go to Vietnam in the most appealing of times, but, it did have a lasting affect on me, I think, in a positive way. As an attempt at explanation, there is a conflicting feeling always in my mind. On one hand I wouldn't wish that type of experience on my worst enemy and on the other hand I wish some really could have used that type of experience.

For those of you that follow some of the more controversial threads on this site, I am thought of in less then stellar feelings. I will admit that I cannot tolerate useless, hyperbolistic viewpoints on things that are not of any real significance or, by comparison, to what could be experienced, anything worth getting all upset over. When an adult starts to get in my face about something that even a child would be wise enough not to be upset over, I get combative about it. I start thinking that some of these people really need to see and experience the other side of life. The side that no habitual visitor to WDW or any other Disney Park can see or understand. To them some minor situation is the end of the world as we know it. Spend some time living in a place where poverty is the norm. Or, perhaps a place where people you don't even know can at any given time blow your brains out with a bullet, mortar or rocket. Maybe a place where not only would the desire to go to something as spectacular as WDW, for example, be unable to even enter the minds of people so far away from dealing with that type of luxury that it isn't even in their wildest dreams. Yet, all we do is find fault.

Because I did experience that life, and admittedly, even though how I lived was far superior to the people that called it home, I had it really good. Experience something like that and all of a sudden your whole outlook on life takes a more realistic direction. Then one can prioritize our life and opinions. How anyone can be a human being with all our faults and shortcomings, can also be critical of a make believe world and demand perfection in that world. People who think they have seen and know everything, but, are oblivious to the world around them and what some people have to do to just stay alive, much less be concerned about an attraction at Disney. So, I guess, that makes me "preachy" and intolerant of the opinion of others. That may be true, but, I can assure you that the vast majority of people that have experienced that seedy side of life are far less inclined to get our knickers in a knot over insignificant happenings in a theme park.

Don't worry!! We'll be all bundled up on our way to the airport, so if WDW does turn cold we'll have jackets and sweaters and hats and gloves handy!

Ok! All kidding aside, I will be looking out for a family of three, one of those being a beautiful princess.

I identify with this as well, and not just from military service. People need to travel the world (not just in Epcot) and experience what life is like outside of where they call home. I really appreciate the passion some people have for the WDW parks, and the love, and the nostagia. But whether or not a ride is morphed into a different ride shouldn't matter as much as it does to some.
