As you well know I am a strong Union Supporter of teachers which is an oddity for a school board member. Sadly that is one of the downfalls, administration pays better than teaching positions and the extraordinarily great teachers that are fewer in number can't be rewarded for their over the top teaching styles. There is that negative side to all positives unfortunately.

I think this happens in a lot of jobs, it certainly is the case in the hospital. Many of the people in my field who started when i did, are now supervisors. They ask me when I'm going to become one and I tell them I actually like patient care. That is why we became respiratory therapists and nurses: to take care of people no?

Depending how things go this spring, I'll probably end up forgiving it anyway.

At least once a year, I cancel any outstanding debts. I can't stand the pressure.
And then, I just ask God for more. And He gives it to me.

It's all good.

You are reminding me of the thought that if you send out positivity into the universe you get it back. Such a good approach to life!

@Wrangler-Rick , this news story happened yesterday. Due to all the snow we've had, there have been multiple roof collapses all over MA, and this one was a barn that housed horses. Rescuers saved most of these lovely animals, but could not get to a few of them in time, which was sad. I noticed toward the end of the video that they would put a blanket to cover the eyes of the horses when they were pulling them out of wreckage; I think that might have been to lessen the fear of the startled horses.

This is truly sad. I'm so sorry that people and their animals are having to experience this. I couldn't even imagine finding one of my animals this way.

The trick (for me, anyway) is to give first, then ask for more.
It's a lot easier to give after you already got. It requires faith to give first, trusting God to replenish the storehouses.

The N & R newbie (rhymes with Ping Pong) seems to have a hate-on for my best bud @Goofyernmost, and just made it on to my Ignore-list minutes ago.
Thanks to @Andrew C for telling him off. I had formulated three different responses, but didn't post any of them. Life is too short to argue with 23 year old twits.

It's amazing - the number of people who can't respond reasonably to a discussion and instead have to resort to insults and name calling. I just don't get that... I know that I don't know everything and I enjoy hearing things from others point of view and a lot of times I learn something new. I might not always agree with the other person, but still everyone is entitled to their feelings and beliefs and no one should have to be bullied for them.

Actually, the aforementioned science teacher will (in my opinion) be an AMAZING principal with vision and the ability to lead and guide people in a good direction. I can only hope that he finds a school where he can use those talents. His current work (under your former principal) is mainly of the lapdog variety and not winning him many supporters right now... but, he is just a cog in a much larger wheel which I think is not well guided from the top down (much higher than your former principal)...

Then, based on "His current work..." I stand by my original statement...what a waste.

Thanks for the concern, but that is why I don't post pics of myself on here or of family members or tell you all the specific name of the town I'm from (just general like Baltimore County) or where I go to school other than a very select few through a PM. Someone who knows me personally could probably figure it out. But not most.


I plan on applying for the CP for the spring of 2016. And then keep applying after that until I get in. After that, we'll see, but I'm thinking of doing a professional internship after that.

Only problem is that if it went beyond just the CP, I probably would have to stop doing these boards.

I don't think they'd want someone in that level participating regularly in the boards.

We'll see how it goes, though. Any of that is more than a year off.
