Thank yo, I know I will I've been putting off getting one since before our trips. I know where it's hidden, I will be good and not take it for a test run.
This of course will require more will power than @Mr Ferret 88 sitting in front of a plate of bacon and not being able to eat it
I don't always have to eat bacon when its placed in front of me you know.

Yes, we will be gourmetten for Christmas dinner. I put gourmetten in Google translate and it spit out raclette. I guess it is not popular across the pond.:)
I am a bit confused why gourmetten made the house smell but pork tenderloin can be a nice dinner as well.
Well, it's just the smell of cooking. My MIL has a thing about cooking smells needing to be kept in the kitchen. When we moved into this house, I expressed my interest in knocking out part of a wall to create a kind of bar area between the kitchen and dining area and she told me no way, because then your house always smells like whatever you've cooked. I was like...EXACTLY!! But she hates that and convinced my husband it was a bad idea, so he said no. I didn't push it because it wasn't hugely important to me and I was already having to battle with her about my bathtub and washer and dryer, and she doesn't even LIVE here...it's not her house, but she's very opinionated about how we decorate, etc. She tried to overrule me on the paint color, the wallpaper, the bathroom plans, the laundry room, the carpet, the curtains, the yard, etc... I gave in on the kitchen and held my ground on everything else. But she's very much of the opinion that kitchens should always be closed off to keep the smells from permeating the rest of the house. She also keeps her kitchen door open in the winter when she's cooking...it's always freezing, but she likes the ventilation to the outside.

Ohhhh Lordy...that's my mother to a T. She wants my house to be a duplicate of hers. (Granted, I bought the same style house as hers, but with two additions, but still...her decor is "french country" which my boys would destroy in a flat minute.) Overbearing doesn't even come close to adequate.

I'm jealous, but I'm also so excited for you! I hope you will end up loving it. For me, I just want to keep going back because there's SOOOO much to see and no amount of time seems to be long enough to see and do everything, so I just have to go back again. And by then, there's something new...or 10 new somethings....it's never ending. I hope you feel the pixie dust rather than just feeling overwhelmed!!

My daughter is really excited and that is everything to me :inlove::inlove:

It is nice that if we go back in a few years there will be two new lands, and two whole parks we haven't seen, so it for sure won't feel like something we've already done!

We just got back from Coco. We looooved it! :):inlove:The story was fantastic. It was really well thought out. There were twists that I did not forsee. Pixar just keeps outdoing itself with the animation as well. Incredible! The historical aspects were very interesting. I am sure @Cesar R M can let us know if they got these historical elements correct. I will say that you should bring tissues if you are mildly sentimental. Apparently I am. (Dh too). ;)

The Frozen short was okay but it was not memorable. There were some cute moments though.

After the film we went to a local restaurant in the area of the theater. I was quite pleased with my veggie enchilada. :hungry:Dh got a combo steak/chicken fajita.

I went to the zoo and the baby elephant was out, it made my day.:inlove:
So darn cute!:) I noticed that there was still greenery and flowers in the picture. I would have thought the Netherlands would have leafless trees by now like our trees here in The States.
I like your gourmetten Christmas. Sounds like fun! Now you have me thinking.:)

The elephants were inside a big dome as it is too cold for them to be outside all day. I actually don't live in the Netherlands anymore, I moved to London about 5 years ago and to make it more confusing the zoo was in Zurich as I am currently working here on a short contract.
I am glad you liked Coco, hopefully it will still be playing in a few weeks when I go back to the Netherlands so I can go and see it with my nieces and nephews. I will bring tissues as I cry easily.

Oops that's right. You did say in a much earlier post you were currently in Zurich. Yes you will need tissues, most definitely.
