We have so many choices that there's no way I'd be sticking around with that bank. Thankfully I've had a savings account with the same bank since I was 8 and every time I walk in there, I get treated professionally, though since I got my savings account through the elementary school, I have to think they're used to dealing with young people. Some of those tellers aren't much older than me, but the women who work there and who are about my mom's age are always very sweet and professional.

I get where your daughter is coming from, though. Some older adults can be quite rude

I've gone in with DD when she has banking to do and we have to get into the safety deposit box. I hang back while she does her teller stuff. A couple times I made sure they caught my 'evil eye' when they were being snarky. The men are just happy to wait on a pretty young lady. All of her banking is free because she is part of the Women's Initiative banking including her safety deposit box. Even if these women believe she is a teen which I get, she looks very young, teens are still clients. Someday I will have a conversation with the bank owners, they live here in our little Hamlet and it has been owned for generations by the same family. One of the VPs, a non-owner lives down the road from me and my DD and her are the same age. I'd talk to him but his DD is as obnoxious as the tellers. None of tellers are younger than me and most are older, some much older.

A shout-out to both @JenniferS and @MOXOMUMD : If the present diet plans you're both using don't pan out, I have a new one for you both to try. It's the "Endless Shovelling Snow, Extended Walks to "open" Bus Stops, and Climbing Around Mountains of Snow Banks Diet".

Remember recently when I shared that I had lost 3 pounds? I checked the scale last night, and I am down SEVEN pounds(in about 4 weeks)!!! Again, I have not changed anything in my diet (I always have plenty of treats . . .), but it's the uptick in activity that has caused me to drop pounds!! :p

Congratulations. :) That is a great deal of weight to loose in short order without dieting. And doing something you love, shoveling snow. :geek:

Well I found something nice to say about Montreal. They have a better snow removal system for major cities.
Plow is a mega snowblower and it goes right into a truck and hauled away. Smart.

@Cesar R M you've outdone yourself with these pictures!! They're gorgeous! I absolutely love the hot air balloon picture with Mikey, in particular. I also love the costumes on both Minnie and Mickey. :) The fire-shooting dragon photo was outstanding.
once I calibrate, filter and clean the pictures, they will look better.

as for me, sad day, time to return home. I'm waiting right now at coronado springs for lunch and then to the airport.

Can I tell you how much I respect your father? I'll never forget back when I was a kid, both of my brothers went to play in little league baseball in the summer. One was an outstanding athlete, and the other one had no talent at all, and couldn't hit the baseball. They had a jerk for a coach, and my brother that had no sports talent, was always just sitting on the bench. My mother was so sad (I don't know if she spoke to the coach or not; I was not actually present at the games). I always thought the point of little league was for boys to learn the game, learn good sportsmanship, and make friends.

Thank you!
I very much love and respect pop, and mom, as well. That is also the case in the community.
Pop just wanted them to learn, to respect each other no matter what their skill level was, and just to generally teach them about fairness, good sportsmanship, etc., for later in life.
Championships were the last thing on his mind. :)

With regard to my "complainin'" about the transportation woes, you have a valid point. :( I've given this some thought, and I think what I need is my own dog sled team!!! That would be everything I love--dogs and snow, AND I could actually commute to work faster than the public transportation system has been providing??? for the past few weeks!!! ;)

Hahaaa...! :)
I tease because I love. :D
In a WDWMagic kinda' way, that is..! ;) :)

Have you ever done a house with a hidden passage?

Yes, a few, actually, over the years.
The more common thing we do are safe/hidden rooms. To be used in case of a home invasion, tornado, etc..
I did a design a few weeks ago (a personal home for one of our builder clients) where the older daughter requested a "secret retreat" to be accessed by a hidden door from her walk-in closet. :)
