That would be enough to make me switch banks.

You'd think. We really only have two choices within reason. This and BoA. It is the better of the two. It is really a backward bank. The men are in suits, their own. The women are in a 70ish uniform. Longer vest, past the tushie and matching black pants, polyester. They can wear their own blouses. :cautious: They look ridiculous.

Again, I don't know how you all up north deal with the cold.

I went out to clear off my car and check the back tire which easily loses air. I was out there for about an hour, maybe a bit longer. I bundled up. The only part of me not covered was my face, and I had on my heavy winter coat, a hoodie, and two hoods.

My face hurt from that cold. My legs were numb by the time I got in. My hands were in gloves but were STILL cold.

I know it's not "warm" in Florida, but good grief; it's better than here! Think I hear Florida calling my name

This northerner is loosing her tolerance rapidly. Florida is calling my name too.

well, I was at the convention center, and they let us take photos with mickey privately again in our farewell breakfast.
sadly, I did not win the free upgrade, in fact, I wasnt even close lol.

But mickey and minnie came with a very special suit that I loved it, I had never seen it before!

then, I went to animal kingdom to see the lion king show before going to magic kingdom to meet with a friend who is a CM from Epcot.

he was a bit late due of traffic and there was a lot of people.
There was no festival of fantasy at 1:00pm. it was at 3 as usual.

so after going nuts with photos...(including one with the sky filled with " LOVE U" before someone ruined it with a very badly written " JESUS LOVES U"

Festival of fantasy was AMAZING. the last 2 floats were awesome!
also, despite the wind, the fire was breathing fire. not so much but she did.

also, despite what someone said, most of the hub sections are STILL CLOSED.

the part behind walt and mickey was not touched and is still bare.

When the snot in your nose literally freezes when you are trying to clean off your car, it's cold! -6 here, -16 wind chill.

Heh, heh . . . negative one again this morning, with a negative 10 wind chill. As long as I layer up (and I even have down mittens), I'm fine; but the real key is to move around in it. (Actually shovelling all the snow, makes me start to sweat under all the layers.) I think you'll agree that If you just stand still in it, you're a goner. :p

At least the squalls are gone from yesterday. There was a 20-car pileup on I-95 here yesterday afternoon, and some of those people were stuck inside their wrecks for close to an hour before rescue could get to everyone. Apparently the white-outs were so bad in that stretch that even the fire trucks, police and ambulances had to crawl to get to the area because they couldn't see more than a foot in front of their windshields!!! The b & d snow finally subsided around 1 AM this morning.

I have a Yellow Lab, he loves the snow and the cold. I'm setting a timer 'cause it is so cold and he never wants to come back in. Summer, well he lays on the vent on the floor to take full advantage of the A/C.

I knew there were multiple reasons why I have always liked Walt. Walt and I have an appreciation of the cold and can't stand summer!!! ;)

I have an Alaskan malamute, and he does love the cold, but it's even to cold for him.

I guess there are exceptions here and there. Does he normally like to go out when it's cold (not near zero degrees, but just generally cold)? Dogs may also be like people, in the sense that if they're moving around in it, they don't mind the temperature at all. Maybe when he first steps out, he doesn't like it, because he's not acclimated to it yet.

I recall watching the Can-Am International Dog Sled race up in Fort Kent, Maine. Those dogs are happy and psyched to run in very cold temperatures. I know that a couple of years when I watched the races, it was around zero and below, but they were pumped up and excited. There were some Mals in the teams, but more huskies.

By the way, I love Mals! They are gorgeous dogs. My (adopted, shelter) dog is a lab/Chow mix. I've never seen huskies or mals in the shelter we've gone to. But, all kinds of dogs are wonderful!! :)

I just checked the temperature for Ft. Kent--minus 2, but feels like negative 41, due to the 37 mph winds. :jawdrop:

A shout-out to both @JenniferS and @MOXOMUMD : If the present diet plans you're both using don't pan out, I have a new one for you both to try. It's the "Endless Shovelling Snow, Extended Walks to "open" Bus Stops, and Climbing Around Mountains of Snow Banks Diet".

Remember recently when I shared that I had lost 3 pounds? I checked the scale last night, and I am down SEVEN pounds(in about 4 weeks)!!! Again, I have not changed anything in my diet (I always have plenty of treats . . .), but it's the uptick in activity that has caused me to drop pounds!! :p

We have so many choices that there's no way I'd be sticking around with that bank. Thankfully I've had a savings account with the same bank since I was 8 and every time I walk in there, I get treated professionally, though since I got my savings account through the elementary school, I have to think they're used to dealing with young people. Some of those tellers aren't much older than me, but the women who work there and who are about my mom's age are always very sweet and professional.

I get where your daughter is coming from, though. Some older adults can be quite rude
