Lord spare us . . . as if things weren't bad enough with the "tablet people" -- I call them that -- who insist on holding up their stupid big devices to film whatever in the parks--especially parades), now we'll have a new group of fools with those ridiculous selfie sticks. I can only hope that they won't be able to get through bag inspection, because they look like weapons to the inspectors??!! ;)
I like your post because I too don't like the tablets obstructing my view of parades and fireworks, however I do enjoy watching WDW videos on YouTube so I don't want to sound hypocritical. Also, I am not insinuating anyone else is sounding hypocritical, I am only referring to myself.

I hope everyone had a good Valentine's Day. Did anyone do anything fun?

Hubby too me out to breakfast and then I had the whole day to relax and I got a good start on a new cross-stitch project. Hubby had a wedding to perform today that is why we did breakfast, but I made him a meal of chicken parm and alfredo with scotcheroos for dessert.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Just got back from the movies - SpongeBob.
It was loud. It was frenetic. And it made zero sense ... although that might be because of the 15-20 minute snooze I took, somewhere in the middle.

As bad as it was, yowza, you should have heard folks beaking about 50 Shades of Pass.

I'm kind of out of sorts this weekend, not knowing if I'm going back to work next week or not.
And the kicker is, the whiners have been given only until the end of the long weekend to decide what they are doing. If one or both of them takes a hike, I'm in ... as early as Tuesday.

Guess I'd better get all the laundry done, just in case; and figure out if I actually have any clothes that fit.

(For those who don't know, I've been off work since the end of May, so returning to work with less than 24 hours notice is kind of a big deal. Plus, I like order and control in my life ....)

If only it wasn't cold...

It's not that cold ;) Melting days are ahead (snow melts a bit even below freezing, mostly road and sidewalks). It's like Canada gave us their weather.

You guys are all over our news. As much snow as we have had it is nothing like what you have received. We were like that last year. I like when others come to the aid of others. Nice of NY. Will you get to stay home again?
On my drive down to WDW this past week I was looking for cars from up north to see how many were able to escape. I saw many NY, NJ and Penn. plates, one lone Vt., a couple from Conn. and two from Maine. I didn't see one single Mass. car all the way down from NC to Florida. My guess is that no one can locate their vehicles under the snow. If they had they would have left by now. ;) Oh, almost forgot... Many from Quebec and Ontario as well.

Here in Raleigh, the temperature is supposed to drop to around 17 degrees F by morning with possible snow showers Monday and Tuesday. I am not amused. There was no mention of this in my relocation brochures.:grumpy:

P.S. I will never be able to catch up on all the pages that I missed while gone (bad WiFi) so forgive me if I repeat something that has already been discussed. Tomorrow I have to work on filing my taxes, but, while confined to my apartment over the next couple of snow days, I will try and put together a little personal "Musings" of my own concerning my trip. Not really a trip report as much as just a few random observations.

Or how some young people don't respect the experience, knowledge, and wisdom of their elders.
Some don't, that's true.

But as a young person, I end up respecting elders who also give me respect a heck of a lot more than those who don't. Of course, I show them respect because my parents raised me correctly, but I'm more likely to listen to elders who also listen to me. Like you and most others who frequent this thread. :)

We considered doing that before snowmagedon five years ago. Should have. There was no school for two weeks and everyone was miserable.

Did you have a nice trip?

I had to go to the emergency room yesterday, and it was 10 hours in between eating my pastry for breakfast and eating anything else. And what I ate was soup.

I was entitled to eat anything I wanted today. :D

Nine Dragons has Chicken Consume. Which is Wonton soup believe it or not.
this is strange, I do not remember reading a chicken consom'e, they had dumplings tought...

sadly.. they are letting them in.
I seen many asian kids with selfie sticks.
clearly the majority of the koreans have these sticks.

the good thing is, there are polite " selfie" cameramen. who use tiny gopro that dontblock the view as much as using a selfie stick with a note4 or a iphone 6+

Took a page out of @JenniferS 's book and did a pajama day today.

Weather's not nice, and my doctor told me absolutely no asthma exposures over the next few days, so it sounded like a good idea to just stay in and rest. And catch up on all the homework that I was basically unable to do Thursday and Friday.
good excuse to have a lazy day!
rest all the day!
