careful, tortillas are prtetty fattening.
also ****, I wish there was wonton soup at disney.
I went to nine dragons and they only had sour and hot soup, I didnt liked it.. too sour.
Nothing like the ones I had in MExico city which were more balanced.

for something completely different..
the cleanest bathrom award goes for.. CORONADO SPRINGS convention area.,
the dirties bathroom award goes to.. EPCOT (nine dragons restaurant)
weirdest bathroom award goes to..hogsmeade. it looks all rock and concrete, then out of nowhere.. an usual office like bathroom.

Oh Sir, I told you. Yak and Yeti!!!! They have your Wonton Soup. $5

I had to go to the emergency room yesterday, and it was 10 hours in between eating my pastry for breakfast and eating anything else. And what I ate was soup.

I was entitled to eat anything I wanted today. :D

Nine Dragons has Chicken Consume. Which is Wonton soup believe it or not.

This is how I was last winter. I grew weary of the constant large snowfalls.

The snow is really cool, and I love snow. :)

It's the "timing" of the back-to-back storms that is wreaking havoc here in the state. It's been a commuting nightmare for everyone, whether people attempt to drive in, or take public transit (multiple breakdowns, frozen rails and switches on lines, buses that can't get through gridlocked traffic on narrower streets due to wide snowbanks). Oh, not sure if you heard this one, but the head of the MA public transportation system resigned last week?! :jawdrop: Now what??!!

trending..........

(I work in the deli section of a store located near an attractions district, where an entertainment company known for its mouse mascot has a strong presence. Today, we get a phone call.)

Me: “Deli department. [My Name] speaking. Can I help you?”

Caller: “Hello. I have your party platter menu here and I’d like to order a supreme sandwich platter and a large wing platter.”

Me: *filling out the order form* “All right, just give me one moment to take that down… and your total will be [amount]. Now I just need a little information. Your name, please, ma’am?”

Caller: “[Caller].”

Me: “And when will you be coming to pick up the order?”

Caller: “Oh, I don’t want to pick it up. I want it delivered to my room at [Fancy Hotel owned by Mouse Company].”

Me: “Uh… I’m sorry, we don’t make deliveries.”

Caller: “Don’t be ridiculous. The [Fancy Hotel] brochure clearly states that room service is available 24/7.”

Me: “Well, they’re probably talking about from their own food service department, ma’am. This is [Grocery Store].”

Caller: “I am QUITE AWARE of whom I am speaking to. The hotel promises room service, and that’s what I want. Now, I want you to deliver my order to [room] at [Fancy Hotel] by five pm tomorrow, or I will file a complaint with hotel management!”

Me: “Once again, ma’am, I’m sorry, but we don’t make deliveries. We are not affiliated with [Fancy Hotel] in any way.”

Caller: “OF COURSE YOU ARE! [Mouse Company] owns everything around here! You said your name was [Name similar to mine]? Well, I am going to personally make sure [Mouse Company] FIRES YOU!”

Me: “Well, I hope you’ll tell [Mouse Company] how sorry I am for the inconvenience.”

The scary thing is that there are probably many more like that caller . . .

Well there is a fence now. How long 'till people are sticking those selfie sticks up in the air to get a clean picture of the flowers and train station?

Lord spare us . . . as if things weren't bad enough with the "tablet people" -- I call them that -- who insist on holding up their stupid big devices to film whatever in the parks--especially parades), now we'll have a new group of fools with those ridiculous selfie sticks. I can only hope that they won't be able to get through bag inspection, because they look like weapons to the inspectors??!! ;)

Met both of my design revision deadlines, along with helping one of our Project Mgrs., and one of our Production Techs work out issues with two other designs that were partner-produced. The usual. ;)
Ahhh, the difference experience makes...
The PM (mid 30's) and I have worked together for some time. He spent about 15 min. trying to work it out, then came to me. I had the issue solved in less than 2 min. He learned something, and no time ($$$) was wasted. He knows that's what they pay me for, and that I love helping. :)
The PT (new-ish hire, early 20's) came to me this morning and said he spent the last three hrs. of yesterday tryin' to figure it out (which is, of course, admirable...unless $$$ is involved). He was afraid to not be able to do it on his own. There were a few more issues with his project, but, I had it all worked out in about 15 min. He learned to never again wait 3 hrs. to go to the guy they pay to do and teach others in the office about the stuff he knows best.

Flip side. I am a DESIGN guy. Although, I have become quite proficient (for an old technosaurus, anyway ;)) in CAD and SketchUp (3D modeling), neither are my specialty, so I often have questions. I had a technical CAD issue two days ago. We have another new hire in the office (again, early 20's). She is a whizz at CAD. Something that I thought would take me, at least, two hours to do, she showed me how to do it in, literally, 5 SECONDS!!! :joyfull: :)
Again, experience. Mine, this time. I knew exactly where to go.
Although I've never been the sharpest knife in the drawer, I've learned a few things over the years (didn't take that long, actually). One is to depend on everybody at your disposal for advice or help. I never hesitate to help, and it always comes back in spades.
I don't care what age a person is, if you know your stuff, you know your stuff...!

This is GREAT!! Kudos to you, Mr. Technosaurus. :p

What I really enjoyed about reading the above is the fact driven home: we all have our talents. And, the number one rule in business (I've worked in a number of different businesses over the years), is that it's important to know your job, but equally important to know who to ask for help. Networking is critical to survival in the business world. (Old expression: "It's not what you know, it's who you know.") It's also important to keep an open mind toward all your colleagues, and not write off people. Can't tell you how many times I have been surprised with the knowledge some people have; and often, they might be the people I'd least expect would know the information I'm looking for . . . ;)

So I was in Norwood yesterday (about 15 miles southwest of downtown Boston). Anyway I was looking for a two story building and didn't even see the building until pulling into the parking lot. It was like Mount Everest of snow plowing. From the road, you couldn't even tell a building was there.

Yup. It's like that all over the state! :D

Loved the CSR convention washrooms. How geeky are we?

Ha! My dear mother (may God rest her soul), used to always judge an establishment by the ladies room! No kidding; this was a really big deal to her. I just had a flashback to when I was a kid, and we walked into a very upscale hotel, and used the restroom. All the appointments were luxurious (ahem . . . no paper towels, just real white cotton towels displayed in a lovely container, next to a tall flower pot with gorgeous "live" flowers . . .). It had a ceiling to floor mirror outlined in gold (not real gold, but gold wood in an ornate pattern). I heard about the fancy restroom multiple times in the days that followed. :) So I'm not sure if she was quaint, and you were geeky, or if you were both geeky? o_O ;)
