Remember I did that decades ago. At a point you just can't cope anymore and it isn't with it. My friend three years ago left Chicago transportation system and went to South CarolinaThe snow is really cool, and I love snow.
It's the "timing" of the back-to-back storms that is wreaking havoc here in the state. It's been a commuting nightmare for everyone, whether people attempt to drive in, or take public transit (multiple breakdowns, frozen rails and switches on lines, buses that can't get through gridlocked traffic on narrower streets due to wide snowbanks). Oh, not sure if you heard this one, but the head of the MA public transportation system resigned last week?! Now what??!!
My DS said that they are quickly moving to restrict the rules amour selfie Sticks on attractions. One fool took out a doll on Small World.Lord spare us . . . as if things weren't bad enough with the "tablet people" -- I call them that -- who insist on holding up their stupid big devices to film whatever in the parks--especially parades), now we'll have a new group of fools with those ridiculous selfie sticks. I can only hope that they won't be able to get through bag inspection, because they look like weapons to the inspectors??!!
Agree. It amazes me how some older folks put down the young. It usually bites them in the Tushie down the roadThis is GREAT!! Kudos to you, Mr. Technosaurus.
What I really enjoyed about reading the above is the fact driven home: we all have our talents. And, the number one rule in business (I've worked in a number of different businesses over the years), is that it's important to know your job, but equally important to know who to ask for help. Networking is critical to survival in the business world. (Old expression: "It's not what you know, it's who you know.") It's also important to keep an open mind toward all your colleagues, and not write off people. Can't tell you how many times I have been surprised with the knowledge some people have; and often, they might be the people I'd least expect would know the information I'm looking for . . .
