Dont forget to keep the machine up to date. There was a security hole that allowed the virus to be installed by local network (aka computers in your office and/or home). SO you didnt had to do anything, you would get infected just being connected to a network.

That's helpful advice, Cesar. I always appreciate it when you share information like that with all of us here. Thank you.

No problem.

I usually recommend to make manual update checks in windows at least once a week.

Windows 10 is pretty much automatic, but will require reboots sometimes and manual installs for somecomputers.
The rest needs to be done by hand.

My mother enrolled me in a Red Cross beginner swim class when I was 5, because she never learned to swim. She was afraid of the water and never wanted me to be that way. I turned into a fish and absolutely loved the water!!

When I was about 12-13, I was in jr. life guard swim class. I recall the coach had us "rescue" each other in the pool; and I'd be pulling along one of my pals to "safety", and we'd both be laughing our heads off. The swim coach would not pass me in Jr. Life Saving, because she said I was too silly and immature. :hilarious:

Hahaaa...!
I didn't learn to swim 'til I was about 9. :cyclops: I took lessons for 2 summers. I felt more than comfortable after that, as I was a strong recreational swimmer. When I was in HS we (friends and I) used to go to the lake a lot. There is an arm of the lake where we used to hang out that was about 150 yards across, and 60 feet deep, at the beginning point when the lake was full-ish. Myself and a coupla' other friends used to swim across it and back all the time and I never had a problem...it was fun...! :)
My brothers started lessons the same time I did, so they started at younger ages. They are both good swimmers. My 12-year-younger sis started lessons when she was 3.
Our oldest kiddo also had her first lesson at 3, and our other 2 kiddos the same, although they were all exposed to pool fun from almost day one...! :)
Both girls are strong swimmers, but, we take certain precautions with DS, even though he loves the water.
Mom has always had a problem with deep water (especially water where she can't see bottom), but, eventually learned to swim pretty good in a pool in her mid 30's-ish. She still doesn't like to go into deeper water, but, also loves the water.
Pop has always been a strong swimmer. When we were on that trip to Port Aransas a coupla' summers ago, some of y'all probably remember me posting this picture of him after swimming in the surf...! :)

image.jpeg

He was 82 at the time, and he had his quadruple bypass just a few months later...! ;) :)

Anyway, we were at two water parks last summer (unfortunately, not Schlitterbahn :( ;)), one in Houston and one here, and we had a blast!!! Still such good fun for all of us...!!! :)

Has anyone seen Wonder Woman yet? My friend and I are going to see it on Tuesday. So there will be at least one night next week where it will be pretty much guaranteed that I will be watching something besides Beauty and the Beast. :cyclops:

It was lovely weather after work today, about 70 degrees sunny with a slight breeze. So I decided to plant my flowers and herbs. Two hours later I was done. Now I'm paying the price, my legs and back are stiff and my arms ache a little. It was worth it though, my flowers looks nice and the mojito mint I bought will be wonderful in my seltzer in the future.

"Seltzer"...code for beer...! ;)

A mixture today. The kids arrived and we changed rooms and were able to re-check in before breakfast. A few pics: A gift from Saratoga, the view from our room, chicken nuggets from the outpost near Pecos Bill's, one of our favorites from the Tiki Birds and dinner at Morimoto Asia.

I'm debating in going to see it this weekend.
But I'm wary, because my sister insists that the movie had not much action as she expected from a superhero movie and it was "boring" at a times.

My understanding is everyone seems pleased. It is a new version of wonder woman that not every one likes more than before. She is a woman that scraps and wears boots vs the originals with bathing suit type outfits and high heels.
Some are going to like the changes I guess, others not so much.

I knew when it was my time to give up driving. I'm so glad I did. I didn't want to kill anyone else, or myself. My eyesight is not very good. And I see with only one eye, and have tunnel vision, along with macular degeneration. Getting older can be hard. I'm plowing through, though. Hubby calls me his tough old bird!
My ex was TERRIBLE at driving. I honestly don't know how he even got a license. He was cross-eyed, so he had no depth perception and could only use one eye at a time, which meant he also had no peripherals. He really should not have been allowed to drive at night because he couldn't see how far away things were, like oncoming headlights. He was SCARY to be in a car with. Not to mention, his mom had taught him to drive and pumped him full of bad information like...if you slide on the ice, keep tromping on the brake. I'm like...pumping the brake is for if your brakes lock. If you slide, you take your foot off, and then SLOWLY push down again. It's tromping on it that makes you slide in the first place. But no...his mom had taught him to stomp on it so that must be right, so we inevitably slid through every intersection when it snowed and he actually hit a parked car with my car and wanted me to claim it on MY insurance so he wouldn't have to pay. Um...no...I'm not going to have MY premiums go up because YOU are an idiot and don't know how to drive. I say kudos to you for recognizing that you have issues that make it unsafe for you to drive...most people don't pay attention to that and insist on driving anyway, putting others at risk. You are pretty amazing!!

They do during the school year, but not during the summer. Here, activities are not through the school. If you want to be involved in an activity, you join a club and pay for membership. The seasons coincide with the school year and have the same vacations.
That stinks to put it mildly. We pay for the pool but that beats cleaning and such not to mention insurance.

And one of the multitude of reasons my kids were not band kids. Choir did not dip into the summer.
James and his bff decided to join and sign up without asking permission and our high school chorus meets over the summer:mad::mad::mad:. At least it's one more thing he'll be able to put on his application to college and a free DC trip for them sounds like fun. Guess who'll be signing up to chaperone:D This year it almost work out with my dh's schedule, he'll be home in time most days to take them:joyfull:

That's pretty good that you didn't learn until you were nine and you could do that hard swimming a few years later. A lot of people who don't learn until they're older never quite get used to the water.

When I took ice skating in college, we had a graduate assistant for the class. She told us that she was impressed by all of us learning to skate as adults because she had never learned to swim. We offered to teach her to swim, and she said nope, she preferred the ice over the water.
