I put a microwave cart in my dining room. It has a couple of shelves and a nice sized drawer so he can keep his keurig(sp?), espresso maker and all their gadgets plus his coffee I do not like out of my way:joyfull: He makes his coffee and sandwiches in that area and that area ONLY:D

I applaud you woman!!! Found a solution and gave him a spot. I did similar one day.

Until about 7 years ago mine would come home and drop his sack that he took to work with him everyday and the daily newspaper on top of my butcherblock unit. It held his breakfast, lunch, had meds phone charger type things in the sack. The timing of all it was always as I preparing dinner.

One day I bought a very nice woven, rectangle, large basket. Bought to fit in a useless spot next to my microwave, dead space corner. It slid out with ease. He came home that day, I slid out the box as the sack got dumped on the butcherblock, picked it up and nicely but matter of factly stated THIS lives here now.

Hee hee . . . ;) Actually, there's a lot of good, current information up in those N&R and General threads. The only issue I have with that part of the forum, is that a subject usually starts out informative and civilized; yet, often devolves into this . . .

I think the only channels I'm going to miss are the 2 Hallmark ones I had before cutting the cord. Than again only at Christmas time, when I'm too busy to enjoy them:banghead:
You got rid of cable?
It's also only in the low 60s at the moment and windy lol.
That was our weather here today. It is like Fall showed up.

I spent the afternoon watching the new Beauty & The Beast. My favorite parts are when the Beast sings Evermore, and when the Beast and Belle go to Paris. Both scenes are tear jerkers for me. Then there's the library scene, and the snowball scene. Great stuff. I love the Beast. His facial expressions are wonderful. My grandson takes the Blue-Ray copy, and I keep the packaging with the DVD copy.

That coaster you referenced looked pretty intense. For me (referring to the WDW coasters/attractions only here), I had to limit any inversion ones (RockNRoller Coaster for example--at most, I'll just ride it once per trip), and also, I only ride "Green" on Mission Space, as of about 6 years ago. Back at that time, I had ridden RNR, TOT and Orange on MS multiple times (even in succession) over the course of a few days.

Flew home, no problem--until I woke up the next morning, and was so dizzy and nauseous that I couldn't even get up. The next day (I was only slightly better), hubs took me to the doctor, and he diagnosed vertigo. Gave me some meds, and I was o.k. in about 2 days. He explained about the inner ear fluid imbalance brought on by inversions, etc.

This doesn't affect everyone; but with the right conditions, many people experience these symptoms.

Sympathy like.
Fortunately, I have never had any issues with any Disney coasters/thrill rides, delayed or otherwise.
I remember when we first rode M:S before there were 2 versions and we (sans DWifey who will never ride it - even green) loved it!
Love the G's (face feeling like it's being pulled back) and negative G's...! :)
On our '07 trip, the kiddos and I rode it 3 times in a row back-to-back walk-on, just like that Poltergeist coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
We wouldn't have done it if it wasn't walk-on each time, 'cause DWifey wanted to do other stuff, of course. But, she didn't mind 'cause it didn't take up that much time, and it "got it out of y'all's system" for the day...!!! :hilarious: ;) :)

How annoying. We did one trip in April of 2014. We had the dining plan. We are hard pressed to find our TS venues. It wasn't Spring Break for most and not free dining but during F&G. Only odd times everywhere and at obscure hard to get to resorts. It was frustrating.

We were staying at the FQ. One night we went to Boatwright podium and they told us they were filled for the night. I'd say 1/3 of tables were empty. We went to the lobby to see what was available elsewhere. They said pick the time Boatwright had ressies all evening. :cyclops::cautious::mad:

WTH??? o_O
Sympathy like.
Sounds to me like certain people may just have wanted an easy night at work...? :cyclops:

In other news, I just got a monstrous nostalgia hit.

I never knew there were these kind of bands around..

They feature a TON of 80's and 90's cartoon theme songs, particularly in spanish.
So hearing them in the spanish I heard them when I was a kid is a huge win for me.
Now excuse me while I clean some manly tears!

Hello everyone. Please bear with me. I thought that I would just update you guys on our precious Chloe. We had to make the gut-wrenching decision to put her down last Thursday.:cry::cry: She was not responding to the iv fluids or eating or drinking water. She just wasn't the same kitty as she had once been. Her kidney disease finally got her. I will spare you the details because it is very hard for me to sit here and type them. She pretty much gave up and knew it was time to leave us. We brought her back home and DH buried her in our woods under a birdbath since she loved birds.
This has been one of the most difficult decisions and times in our lives. If you own a pet, you know what I mean. Our lives will be constantly changed. DH has a hard time walking past "her" room without breaking down. I figured out that we haven't been by ourselves since 1985 when our DD was born. It feels really surreal to me. Too quiet. We will get another cat in the future, but not right now.
A big thank you and hug from me and Bob to the following: @Mr Ferret 88 , @figmentfan423, @betty rose, @Songbird76, @ajrwdwgirl, @MinnieM123, and @StarWarsGirl !!! Without your thoughts and support, we could not make it through this time.
I will be back sometime soon to put up a TR about our trip. I picked up a bad cold and cough while there, so still trying to get over it.
Thanks guys!! Love you so much!:)

Oy. I just saw this. My heart goes out to you guys. So freak'n difficult, they bring such love and joy into everyday and when they leave us...

I lost my beloved Walter in the fall...still not past it.
Big {{{{HUGS}}}} to you all.

We have well water that goes through a series of 3 different filters:joyfull: I can use it for cooking and coffee but not for tea or drinking out of the faucet. The guys have no problem with it all being raised on well water.

I agree. If that is all you know it is the norm. Coming by harsh well water not filtered is nasty. A $4 - 4 gallon jug for the watercooler works well. Lasts a week. I can do that.

My kitchen got some unexpected cleaning yesterday when I discovered ants in the kitchen garbage. I never have ants in the kitchen garbage. After a few hours of scrubbing, and mopping, and cleaning everything in sight, my husband and I traced our steps. The culprit has been the bird/conure's food. When we took the conure from our grandson, he showed us what type of food we should buy. The one type looks like dehydrated fruit, and nuts. It's obviously very sugary, and the ants just love it. I told my husband not to deposit any pet food in the kitchen garbage. Definitely not paper towels either that he uses to clean up bird poop. The conure is going to have to be happy with peanuts, and the other, totally dry, conure food. We are also definitely considering calling in an exterminator to rid this house of ants permanently. Having ants in my house makes me feel like quite the slob, and I am definitely not that. I have never cleaned, and vacuumed so much since we got these birds.

Mint cooking extract should keep them away. Spray some also in the garbage can before you put the bag in. Ants hate mint.
