We prefer doing stuff with our kids on their birthdays also. We have done some home parties and gym parties but everyone prefers to do a family activity together. Just found out that not 3 miles from our house is a new escape room place. And they have a pickleball court. So we will take advantage of that this summer. :)

Never have I heard of pickleball before. I just had to look it up!

Boma...View attachment 208606

That's it for this trip. It was one of the nicest trips ever.

That looked like some crazy rain you have. I can't wait for my Boma breakfast now! I'm glad you had a good time and thanks for sharing your pictures.

Thanks, I'm glad that we made it home. We didn't get in until late yesterday. We had so much turbulance on the plane. It shook so much that the ceiling in front of us came mostly apart. It didn't fall, but was hanging by a thread. The people ahead of us was holding it up.

Oh my goodness, Bets!! That must have been freaky. So glad you're home safe and sound, and WELCOME BACK!

This has been done elsewhere as well. In Paris, couples would lock their commitment to love each other, by putting a lock on the bridge fence. Problem was that after some years of doing this, the weight of the metal locks (the photos I saw did not have any open spaces like your photo above) started to cause some weight issues.

Here's a report from the BBC from a few years ago, about the outcome:

.

Yep, there is even a recent Hallmark Channel movie about the Paris thing, starring Rebecca Romjin and Jerry O'Connel, called "Love Locks". :cyclops:

It is definitely the prettiest inside. I have always wanted to eat there but won't because of all the bad reviews I have read about it for over a decade.
Not to mention the food didnt seem truly mexican to be honest...
Seems like they got a texmex cook than a real mexican one last time I Was there. I mean, adding yellow corn to some recipes? big no no.

I was confused by @donaldtoo 's driving time. It is 1127 miles from Austin to DW. There must be an awful lot of traffic down there or multiple stops are included in his drive estimate. Is there a giant ball of yarn off route 10, or a humongous plastic dinosaur that begs stopping and gawking?;)

We should then have a few more hours, I think we are just over 1300 miles.
