Yep, there is even a recent Hallmark Channel movie about the Paris thing, starring Rebecca Romjin and Jerry O'Connel, called "Love Locks". :cyclops:

Yup, that's just about the right speed for a Hallmark Channel movie! ;)
I think the only channels I'm going to miss are the 2 Hallmark ones I had before cutting the cord. Than again only at Christmas time, when I'm too busy to enjoy them:banghead:

Hello everyone. Please bear with me. I thought that I would just update you guys on our precious Chloe. We had to make the gut-wrenching decision to put her down last Thursday.:cry::cry: She was not responding to the iv fluids or eating or drinking water. She just wasn't the same kitty as she had once been. Her kidney disease finally got her. I will spare you the details because it is very hard for me to sit here and type them. She pretty much gave up and knew it was time to leave us. We brought her back home and DH buried her in our woods under a birdbath since she loved birds.
This has been one of the most difficult decisions and times in our lives. If you own a pet, you know what I mean. Our lives will be constantly changed. DH has a hard time walking past "her" room without breaking down. I figured out that we haven't been by ourselves since 1985 when our DD was born. It feels really surreal to me. Too quiet. We will get another cat in the future, but not right now.
A big thank you and hug from me and Bob to the following: @Mr Ferret 88 , @figmentfan423, @betty rose, @Songbird76, @ajrwdwgirl, @MinnieM123, and @StarWarsGirl !!! Without your thoughts and support, we could not make it through this time.
I will be back sometime soon to put up a TR about our trip. I picked up a bad cold and cough while there, so still trying to get over it.
Thanks guys!! Love you so much!:)
A little late here but prayers for your family.

We prefer doing stuff with our kids on their birthdays also. We have done some home parties and gym parties but everyone prefers to do a family activity together. Just found out that not 3 miles from our house is a new escape room place. And they have a pickleball court. So we will take advantage of that this summer. :)
That sounds great!!
We always did parties here at home. DD loves to do crafts, so we would do some crafty thing that the girls all got to take home with them as a favor. One year we did bracelets, one year we did fairy wish jars. Last year we did wish bottle necklaces and homemade lipgloss, and DD had picked out some other crafts that she wanted to try, but some of her friends don't have much of an attention span and some aren't particularly crafty. So they got bored and got a bit rowdy, one just got up, asked who wanted to go outside, and led the rest out and DD was left inside by herself, the party being taken over by her friend. So this year, she didn't want a party at all, so she had a netflix day with her 2 best friends, which ended up being just one because the other got sick and went home not too long after she got here. DS is...awkward? socially, and the first 2 years went pretty well, but then it started with kids pretending to be sick so they didn't have to come. The next year a mom apped me to tell me her son didn't really want to come and she didn't want to force him, but thought we might like to invite someone else in his place. The next year, same thing with a different kid. And then last year it was a pain trying to find 2 kids that wanted to come, and by that time we had switched to going to an indoor play place rather than doing it at home, because at least then the kids could just play and didn't all have to play together, even. But he's getting to the point where he actually notices that kids don't particularly like him and it's kind of mean to have him invite kids and be rejected all the time. So we'll switch to doing a fun family activity instead this year. Saves me a lot of work and it saves him a lot of heartache. And it's more fun for all of us! No hyper little monkeys running all over the place to keep in check. No having to remind kids to take time to eat and go to the bathroom. No losing shoes (the first year we went to the play place, someone stole one of the boys' brand new shoes, so we had to send him home with no shoes and then go buy him new ones.) or whatever else. It's easier all the way around.

There have been some good summer/wedding related movies on Hallmark the last couple of weeks. Hallmark movies are a fun guilty pleasure. I know how they will turn out, but I can't stop watching. Hubs makes fun of me a little bit, but he has watched a few with me and said they weren't "too bad".:)

We had to play it in PE when I was in High School. I should not be entrusted with a racket.

Growing up we never played Pickleball. I had never heard of it until I started working at my current school. But growing up we had tennis courts near our middle school and in high school there was a community center connected to our school so we played racquetball there, so I guess that covered the Racket portion of our PE curriculum. I really didn't care for gym class at all but racquetball and tennis were fun to play. We also played wally ball in the racquetball courts, which was like volleyball/racquetball. I didn't care for that so much.

The day the lottery check shows up. Now I have to but a ticket for that to happen:hilarious:
Ironically, what she described is what supposedly happened with Sir Richard Branson.

American Airlines canceled his important flight. He got so angry that he literally paid for an entire plane (charter) and sold tickets to everyone who was left standing.
Then founded Virgin Airlines.
